Others are sticking to premier but either trying out elsewhere or already have offers. NYSC tryout looked like a BS practice with so many current and ex BS kids
The issues at BS are different depending on who your kid is:
    [GIRLS]
-Weak program with weak talent and terrible coaches. Nice young handsom looking coaches to make the mom's happy but beyond that no future if your girl is a strong player.

    [U-LITTLE]
-Decent talent on each of the teams but coaches range from pretty good to pretty pathetic. Focus on teaching the "BS Style of Play" when kids still need to develop ball mastery, confidence, creativity, and technique. Keepers practice as field players - that says it all.

    [ACADEMY]
-Top players all leave for MLS clubs or more recently NYSC and even a couple to Oakwood. Mickey sells the pro/D1 dream but with the exception of 1-2 players every few years, they field premier teams that try to act like Academy teams. The worst part is they don't help with college. Even though they can't play HS soccer, most players rely on the HS coaches for help with college because Mickey can only be bothered to help 1-2 kids/year.

Top players going to NYSC, MLS, and other academy clubs. Middle of the road players looking at other premier clubs.

The ONLY ones who are unquestionably staying are a few of the families with kids at the bottom of the pool.

They have no other options. Somehow their kid made the 07 team and now they are stuck. Not good enough to bump a kid off the roster at some other club that already has a full squad and not good enough to get an invite from a DA club. They know that as long as their kid is OK they have a spot on BS because of the 20+ kids, most will not be here next year and many of the kids trying out will not accept offers. BS won't turn away a family willing to pay full money.

Bottom players would be better served going back to town travel or two premier. Paying that kind of money is insanity. If BS weren't in lower FC they'd struggle to find any willing to pay that

Why do you think there will be 20+ kids leaving? What age groups. I hear rumors but don't know of any confirmed departures from 07 or 08.

I have not heard of anyone leaving from the North 07 or 08. Are they from the South?

Nobody "confirmed" because nobody wants to ruin the remainder of their son's season by having the club find out they are on the way out. If everyone was 100% committed to BS, they wouldn't be showing for at tryouts or practices with other teams.

No disrespect but 07 and 08 are not going to hurt Beachside. Plenty of time to find players to develop. It is also very young for a parent to burn that bridge for their child. Let’s face it the child isn’t making that decision. A club can change, coaches can change. What you didn’t like might improve.

If in fact many leave BS this year and tryouts are low, look to BS to announce a merge or buyout before the fall season. If this is all typical TS crap and tryouts are good, look to BS to carry on as usual

                    MK is a complete Dooosh.

Any ETA on when that will change?

BS will carry on as usual. If the team is strong, they will talk about how they attracted amazing players... up until when they start getting blown out by Tier 2 DA clubs in the fall. Then they will make some excuse that it's not about winning but development.

If the team is weak, MK will still fill a roster because there is absolutely no shortage of parents willing to pay just to be on BS. As someone said, the name still has some brand power in lower FC.

At $3k+ per year who wants to stick around hoping things will get better? Not when there are other options that do a better job of development with much less arrogance

I hear it's more of an 07 South thing. We are good friends with a North family and from what I hear, South is like a bastard step-child. North genuinely feels bad about their South teammates.

Practices frequently get canceled because Trinity has field conflicts. Coach is so-so at best and misses games due to his other BS team. Some kids are more focused on other sports and constantly miss games/practices. Last week the North goalie stepped in for a game because South goalie went to to a baseball game. Team manager is a disaster but BS won't do anything because he has 3 other kids at BS and MK doesn't want to risk ******* off the family. South families call the North manager to find out about games and tournaments. Best player was yanked off of team and placed on Academy team when MK found out he had RB and NYCFC offers. MK thinks mid-season promotion to Academy will keep the kid with BS. Clearly doesn't care that it crushes an already depleted south team.

I know this is all hearsay but i doubt our friends would be making it up.
