Of all the beachside teams, only two teams have won more than one game. The 05 have 3 wins and 03 team has 2. The rest have one win or no wins. The two youngest teams haven’t won a game yet.

Can the youngest teams even be called DA? They have coaches who are barely qualified to lead a town travel team. Lost their top players to other clubs. Have no goalkeepers. Bring up 08 players just to field a team. Their opponents would be better off having a practice or team scrimmage than driving to Stamford to waste their time.

It's really sad, I think the parents need to just get together, pick a club (ANY CLUB), and go there as group. It will end the travesty that BS has become and give a smaller up and coming club some talent to take their club to the next level.

There are a handful of clubs with great coaches who could use a few fresh players.

And how do you know what there games have been like ? Scores aren’t posted at that age .

BS is the problem

BS doesn't develop. That's the problem

I'm not sure that is the case. I'm NOT a Beachside fan, by any means, but I will say that the club DOES produce players. They do teach the kids at a young age to pass and receive quite well. They develop the talent that they get to some degree; and that is a success story.

BUT, where they FAIL miserably is that they failed to keep pace with the times. When MK had his teams in the 1990's, the cost was $1,200, and it was his way or the highway as there weren't other options. Now the cost is $4,000 and there are tons of options. Yet the Beachside leadership doesn't adjust. THAT is the problem.

So players LEAVE at the first chance they get. THAT is the problem. All of the families are clients, and they're treated like peasants. THAT is the problem.

If someone was working for me and required resources to get a project done, and then when given those resources failed to deliver the project, I would fire them. Beachside parents are firing MK because he promised a field with their resources and failed to deliver.

Simple stuff folks.

Beachside is yesterday. Until they fire MK, and pull themselves out of a time warp hole that they're in.... nothing will change. Rinse and repeat..... products garbage. Beachside's youngest teams from U-9 up to U-13 are doing horribly, horribly. That will not change.

^ nope they don't develop, hence the losing. They "produced" players when they were a more desired club (drew in talent), didn't treat customers as poorly as they do now, and weren't in a league a level over their heads.

If you think he treats families horribly imagine how he must treat his coaches. I’ve heard him embarrass coaches in front of their own teams and families.

The only reason an 08 should be playing up in a DA program is if the kid is so amazing that he is a "man among boys" when playing with his age group. NONE of the 08s fall in this category. They are definitely among the better 08s at BS but someone who is "holding his own' has no reason to play up in age to be on DA... UNLESS the club needs bodies... which is the case with the keepers. BS shook every tree in Fairfield county for a keeper and when the couldn't find one, they raided their own 08 team. They are lovely lads who definitely have potential but are far better off getting development time with 08s than getting hammered in DA. Wait till some of the crazy North parents start flipping out because the GK made a silly mistake.
