Yep. BS moving to Monroe is a little too close for comfort for CFC. If BS gets its girls program rolling it's a threst to Arsenal and it's closer to the new CFC site in Bethany. Some boys may opt out of BS floundering premier teams for CFCU boys

Now that I've thought about it my money is on Sporting intern/management. The CFC trasher was more a pro-Sporting talking point, saying that Sporting had passed CFC on the boys side - to which someone rightly responded CFC sucks for boys until CFCU forms. HS years CFCU boys are solid, Sporting has nothing.

Why would BS re-start a girls program if they don't care about girls soccer? As noted on this site many times, BS will struggle to keep its top girls players after the U-little years because their top players will be attracted to ECNL or DAP. As a result, they field mediocre teams at the older ages....no surprise to anyone.

I think they are trying but as you say it's an uphill battle. They could create a nice niche developing younger female players. But parents like to see there's a path in all of this. Tough to position a club as 'We're great to u13. After that you're on tour own"
