Sounds like with Pythons and North, The Big O is now running the show.

Unless they were planning to have 2 premier keepers, its not clear how or when North GK got an offer. Many weeks before tryouts they offered DA GK spots to 2 kids (including South GK). I am told by multiple parents that South GK only wanted to play field so they offered a GK spot to a 3rd kid - who accepted. The week between tryout #1 and tryout #2 they offered premier spot to a new GK who also accepted.

I don't know if the 2nd tryout (when they actually separated the keepers) was for show or they wanted to find a 4th keeper. I do know that coming into the 2nd tryout there were 3 GKs who already accepted.

I've no horse in this race, my kid is an 08 and we are staying. I'm just curious about what actually happened because I do agree, there are shenanigans about how/who they select.
My son is friends with one of the new DA GKs and according to him, Omar spoke with the parents sometime in the winter and the kid was already talking about playing at BS for months.

Would you like to see the email? Will that make it clear for you?

I am gobsmacked that from the South only 1 DA and only 1 (possibly 2 premier) families rejected offers. This is a team that had their best player pulled out to 06 academy without warning mid-season, had a roster so thin they played half their games with no subs or had to borrow North players, they had a walking disaster for a manager, lost majority of their games to mediocre teams, and had a coach who couldn't coach a u8 rec team. Anytime you spoke to any parent on that team, they were complaining about something. A strong indication was that only 2 or 3 kids/families bothered to show up for the banquet.

Yet somehow... the draw of BS kept them in the program.

The force is strong. They can't resist the dark side.

Was offered premier same day as every other BS player was offered either premier or academy. South GK was never offered DA for GK or field player by BS, only his coach before tryouts.

Couldn’t be happier that my kid isn’t on your team (or any team remotely close in age). You sound like a gossipy soccer Mom. Always needing to know everything about everyone else. This doesn’t even involve your kids team and look at all the details you have. Read your post again, seriously, get a life. People like you should be avoided at all costs, hopefully parents on your team choose wisely in what they share with you.

YESSS! Although it should be said "all the details he/she thinks they have". These are not facts, merely hearsay.

Yeah, well lots of people voted for Trump too, despite all logic. Some people can't see what is right in front of them.
