Not bad. Copa TS came in 2nd in FWRL to a team that was a distant 3rd in the RCL...

Apparently the 3rd place team in RCL would also easily win the OYSA league. So what's your point?

Enjoy your little TA team while you can. As always, there is no future in girls soccer in the TA. Just look at WT_FC as the leading example - no "A" teams older than G01 and even the G01 team would have been relegated in a combined league.

The Thorns Academy will take a lot of talent away from the OPL teams in a year or two.

Oh yea, because Thorns Academy will be more attractive than ECNL or ECNL reserves. Yeah, I can see it now.

The Academy will draw talent across a broad spectrum. The teams playing in the elite club league will draw people with a lot of money. Still there will be talent in both pools.

Give me an example of some out of state tournaments that the Thorns Academy would go to in a typical year?

I know hmmm let me see, I have the option of going to an ECNL squad or even an ECNL reserve squad and go to Player Showcases in Phoenix, Texas etc.. even Surf Cup. .......... or join the Thorns Academy (for the same costs as an ECNL reserve squad) and go to where??? The Friendship Cup???

Thorns Academy will be done soon. If not this year, at most one more year before the Timbers pull the plug. They know they can't compete with the ECNL clubs and they won't want to waste any more money, time, and personnel on the Academy.

The Timbers are all in on the Academy and have a lot of money behind them. The ecnl teams might struggle and pull the plug next year

All in, as in "all in your pocket, picking it clean". With nothing to speak of in return. Besides, how "all in" do you have to be to essentially force your Alliance clubs to send your best players to the Academy so that they can then play against you in league? If the Timbers were "all in" they would have teams at all age groups and have them playing in a national level league, even if that's the Mickey Mouse US Youth National League. Having one team and putting them in FWRL and OYSA isn't anyone's definition of "all in".

You must have missed the last financial report on the MLS. They have alot of money behind them alright, blowing in the wind way far behind them.
