If anyone cares (when I know you all do) check the academy rosters from the website (or screen shot) so you can compare with the first game report of the spring season. But it seems like going abroad on an unauthorized trial is more of an offense to scales than smoking at an academy & us soccer event.

The general consensus it that every player at the Revs Academy is under suspicion of smoking pot until they identify and punish the players that did.

Because going abroad was a personal insult. Going against DA rules, like having the required # of practices or drugs, that's not personal and rules are more of a suggestion to them. Same with any actual player development and committing to a player for a full season. As long as USSF does nothing the Revs will continue to abuse the system. They get away with it because they're MLS, no other reason.

Lots of Revs players go abroad to train in the off season. They can't cut them all.

Not all of them are top NT/D1 prospects that the Revs care about. JR was.

Struggling to find his playing time. Nice kit though.

On a top world academy? I know he's playing. Even if he plays one game, it's better than 20 Rev crap games.

MM trained with Watford over the summer. He did not get cut.

If the revs coaches were any good at their jobs players wouldn’t be doing outside training. Red Bull players aren’t going outside their own academy. NYCFC not. Philly Union not.

I’m sure the revs are looking the other way b/c MM went over the summer during the off-season. JR asked and was told no. So they made an example of him (and scales holds it up to the parents saying don’t try to go elsewhere). Too bad they aren’t using Florida as a teachable moment. JR made the local soccer news about the trial. Handling it internally clearly means radio silence from everyone.

Like someone else said, it's guilt by association. Every Revs player is under suspicion of drug use until they handle those that do. The Revs are very drug friendly I guess. Great roll models.

Rumor has it that the Krafts are investing heavily in the new cannabis economy now that Massachusetts has legalized it. No wonder it’s being swept under the rug.
