Our kids are all wonderful and know to just say no to drugs. But would I want my kid subjected to that explicit or implicit peer pressure? If he knew, but had to choose between remaining silent (complicit, ask Ivanka what that means) would I want him put in that position? This sets aside the lack of control the coaches have on the players which is crazy to contemplate.
Then again, valuable life lessons to be learned on these Revs trips.

Bringing it up and into the open lets folks decide for themselves, and yes, how the Revs (presumably the adults) respond and handle the issue is important, especially for the parents and players.

That's far too many kids with cellphones and snapchat to keep the story as quiet as the Revs wanted.
NEFC kids all know now.
GPS kids all know now.
Bolts kids all know now.
Seacoast kids all know now.
The Revs blew this as badly as Elizabeth Warren butchered her DNA test.

Kids are remarkably aware of the culture at the Revs suddenly. Foxboro has a major perception problem and perception is reality.

My kid was at the revs (cue the "sorry your kid got cut guy") and it's such a revolving door of players (and coaches). You can't develop when you barely put 5 hours a week into their training, replace 50% of the team every year, sometimes MID year. Group dynamic is almost as important as talent. Knowing they could be thrown off at any point does nothing for their confidence.
Other clubs are doing much better b/c the players work as a team. Not a Bolts parent but their 15s only lost 1 game.
