General consensus it that they'll use edibles going forward so it's easier to get away with it.

      I'm fond of Christmas, sorry.

Why the need to bury the issue (namely, several Rev academy players smoked pot, broke curfew on the road)? If you believe nothing happened, then refute the allegations. If you can't do that (b/c the Revs are apparently not addressing it publicly to even deny it, which, fair enough, no one can force them), then wouldn't the prudent approach be to say something along the lines of "something may have happened but we don't know for sure" rather than try to bury it? Bringing it up and into the open lets folks decide for themselves, and yes, how the Revs (presumably the adults) respond and handle the issue is important, especially for the parents and players.

Our kids are all wonderful and know to just say no to drugs. But would I want my kid subjected to that explicit or implicit peer pressure? If he knew, but had to choose between remaining silent (complicit, ask Ivanka what that means) would I want him put in that position? This sets aside the lack of control the coaches have on the players which is crazy to contemplate.

Then again, valuable life lessons to be learned on these Revs trips.

My kid was there and is totally confused why there were no consequences, when Scales keep telling them to behave like pros. Lead by example Scales or get out.

My kid was there too (on a rival team) and everybody was talking about it. Silence just shows the Revs don't care and are too lazy to enforce and show there are consequences.

My kid was there and has zero respect now for those players and all coaches involved.

                  There were 40 kids there, so #mykidwasthere X 40.

That's far too many kids with cellphones and snapchat to keep the story as quiet as the Revs wanted.

                  NEFC kids all know now.

                  GPS kids all know now.

                  Bolts kids all know now.

                  Seacoast kids all know now.

The Revs blew this as badly as Elizabeth Warren butchered her DNA test.

The soccer landscape has totally shifted in Massachusetts. Most Bolts kids have come to realize that going to the Revs isn't in their best interest. That's why so many have begun to turn down Revs offers. They see that the Bolts keep teams together, as a cohesive unit, and develop players to their fullest extent rather than casting them aside and turning over 50% of the roster each year. Kids are remarkably aware of the culture at the Revs suddenly. Foxboro has a major perception problem and perception is reality.

My kid is at the Revs, and I agree with you 100%

Do you Bolts people think you are fooling anyone? Give it a rest!

Really their world is pretty small, especially with social media. They all know each other or know someone who knows someone.

                            Absolutely 100% true.
My kid was at the revs (cue the "sorry your kid got cut guy") and it's such a revolving door of players (and coaches). You can't develop when you barely put 5 hours a week into their training, replace 50% of the team every year, sometimes MID year. Group dynamic is almost as important as talent. Knowing they could be thrown off at any point does nothing for their confidence.
Other clubs are doing much better b/c the players work as a team. Not a Bolts parent but their 15s only lost 1 game.

This drives Scales, Hall and Charris out of their minds. Kids on our team plan to tryout for Bolts starting this winter off season.

I agree 100%, oh, and I AM sorry your kid got cut, unless he is happier, in which case I am glad he got cut (in a good way). My kid’s confidence has hit an all time low at the Revs.
