The college commitment list of those players that left the Revs is 4x larger than those who stayed. Revs actively recruit already committed players in a desperate attempt to manage perception vs reality.

The whole Revs philosophy is a series of desperate attempts by Scales not to get fired.

TB is a class of 2020 player so Scales uses him this year to pad the 2019 commitments and then uses him next year for the actual graduation year commitment.

PLB was a 2018 commit. He’s basically in year number 2 being on the commitment list to pad the Revs stats. See the TB strategy above, same shell game.

GD is from RI and a verbal. He’s the 3rd cup in the shell game.

JM is legit. Congrats to him.

MSP committed well before he signed with the Revs. He played 5 total games for the organization after joining the squad LATE in the spring.

AW is legit. Congrats to him as well.

Dear Revs, you shouldn’t have to manufacture college commitments to attract(or should I say distract) potential new players. It really speaks to the degree of dysfunction in the organization.

This thread is #FakeNews. The Revs make changes all the time. They replace at least half their rosters every year.

That top 150 player topic has me a bit concerned. We only have 1 player in the class of 2020 on the list. My child is a class of 2023. I hope we can place more players on the list going forward. Can someone post the list because I refuse to pay. I’m sure they scout showcases and the Generation Adidas competitions. We have so many excellent players and so many chances to be seen.

Refusing to pay is one of the reasons your kid is in a sucky MLS academy.

You make it sound like paying for soccer is a virtue. Maybe they're from RI and the sucky MLS academy is the only DA team within a 90 minute drive, and the fabled metro-area clubs of this board are just too far away.

You May have excellent players in the younger age groups, but the Revs will make them all mediocre in a couple of years. They are looking for kids who don’t mind sh*t coaching and always losing, so they can fit right in as a home grown.

Top 150 as measured and decided by whom?

Not parents which makes it way more accurate than whatever you think.

All you should be worried about is your kid, who his coach is, how hard he is working. You have no control over the overall landscape, who in NE make a pretty useless list, or how many stars players get. The top players are readily identified. Most likely your player isn't one of them. Few in this area are top players on the national stage. It plays out in recruitment lists and NT selections. Accept that reality and the next few years will have much less stress.

Virtually no one on the boys side in Massachusetts gets called in to USMNT camps after the inconsequential U-little years. The Revs aren’t known for developing highly sought after college recruits because most players aren’t academically inclined so coaches refuse to take a chance on them.

This is certainly true on the academic side (no Stanford, Northwestern or Ivy commits) but is has to be said it is also true re: the lack of commits to schools with great soccer programs and more academic latitude (University of Akron, Maryland, UNC etc)

UNC accepted less than 10% of incoming freshman applicants this year.
