They all need a break during the winter season to rest up; heal; learn to miss the game again; have some down time so no overuse injuries for spring, etc. I see many kids that have overuse injuries in the spring because of the lack of rest from fall to winter to spring.
These are not professionals and even they take some down time.

Anyone know the academy costs vs their NPL team costs? Do the NPL teams practice twice/week all winter long and three times/week in the spring?
