OW parents are the absolute worst spectators of their kids. Especially when they clearly are over powered/outplayed by their opponents. What exactly do you expect Mia to do against a better team hearing your chirping on the sideline the entire game.

Shut up and teach them to hit the ball and not feet/legs of the opponants

Right. Our CFC North team will be there. Good times! (I heard service at the snack bar sucks, tho.)

Oakwood NPL teams (01 and 02) and the Wolves teams playing at the OPI over Memorial Day weekend is an absolute disaster.

Lots of D2 and D2 coaches up at the Mass tournament this weekend. Last big recruiting weekend of the year. None of those teams would get into PDA but good lord give the players a chance. Sure it's nice to stay local over the Holiday weekend but whats the point of playing some meaningless soccer game in Glastonbury this weekend.

It isn't the first time OW has made teams stay for OPI instead of going to better events. Without those teams some age brackets would probably fold. But sure, OW is all about "development."

If the teams voted it for it, which is possible then that's fine. I just find it unlikely

Ow teams should stay for an OW tournament. (Besides, they'd get their azzes kicked at any other, and the OPI will be a struggle as it is.)

It's a money raiser to keep the club costs down for the kids. Stop being a hater, OW fees are some of the lowest on the East Coast.

no pissed because no one wants to volunteer at tournament or sell raffle tickets

uh, well then pay the extra $1300 to play at FSA. Why do you even care or get pissed about it? Freedom of choice means you don't need to get pissed, just go somewhere else.

Are you completely out of your mind?

Juniors and Seniors playing club soccer in the NPL are almost all interested in college soccer. This is a big recruiting weekend. In OW’s defense, the PDA is a major event and anything else is going to be a struggle anyway at least in terms of getting recruiting looks.

Yankee has at least one NPL team admitted to PDA. OW might have had a shot with the 2002 team with their record. TS has brought teams to PDA in the past.

As far as the fees go, as the saying goes. You get what you pay for!

Just posted on another thread - I don't mind at all that OW does fundraising. Trying to keep fees lower is good for everyone. But you shouldn't keep teams from stronger competition, especially kids trying to get recruited, just to make your fund raiser work. That isn't in the best interest of those teams

OW u17’s girls holding on for playoffs berth hope in Cali in the 11’th wildcard spot. That’s 11 out of 12 wildcards available. With one more game vs NYCFC

                            That folks is razor thin.

Good for them. Too bad they'll get trounced if they make it. Tallest midget in the NE.

I bet all of the parents are hoping they lose so they can save the additional $2k that will cost!
