Point is they can win in Corvallis and probably will soon.
Pullman gets lucky everyone once in a while recruiting.

In women's soccer, OSU gets a lot of good but not great players.

And yes I realize that there is probably a dad of an OSU player reading this that might have his feelings hurt over that comment, so sorry in advance.

I would disagree. OSU athletics does it differently. Programs at OSU build without the luxury of 5 star players. But OSU builds strong programs anyway and eventually get the 4 and 5 star talent. Soccer will be the same. Success is coming to OSU soccer soon. Hopefully starts this weekend.

OSU will always be at the bottom of Pac12, maybe every now and then they will have a decent season, but over the long haul always at the bottom. Last year the racked up some wins against powerhouses like Idaho and Portland State

OSU needs to recruit well and outside the box. Failure to go out and find the right recruits equals failure on the field. If they cant win this year, its only going to get worse.

Most likely a combination of no preseason, lack of quality new assistant coaches and loss of assistant coaches from last year.

While y'all are here peeing on the OSU women's soccer team, no doubt to grind some axes around key players' youth careers.... the OSU men are now the #3 team in the country according to one prominent poll.

                Do you know their assistants?

Associate - won an NCAA national championship at Penn State
Assistant - runs a local ECNL club just ranked 55/100 in the country for girls
Volunteer - coached her team to the sweet 16s in the NCAA tournament one year and has 24 years of college coaching experience

Everyone had no preseason, assistants are all very qualified and have had success - try again.

Just saying, 55 out of 100 is nothing to be bragging about. Mom, I got 55 out of 100 on the math test. Dad I was 55 out of 100 in the hurdles. See, that is stuff you keep to yourself.

Penn State recruits at a very high level, so if they want to win they might want t go back.

Volunteers on most soccer teams get gatorade for the players at the half and usually are stuck with laundry duty after game day. On a big day they get to run back to the locker room because someone left the clipboard in there at halftime.

The Crossfire ECNL guy took that club from dumpster fire to top 20 club in ECNL.

Being an assistant on a team that wins a National Tittle at a school like Penn State is an achievement.

A volunteer coach with 24 years of D1 experience would be a blessing to any head coach.

This team is fine and will get back on track maybe this weekend.

                        55/100 in most cases = F.

Volunteer coaches can be really good at laundering and folding uniforms and sweat towels so that is not an easy job. They always get a framed certificate of appreciation at the end of the year if they get grass stains out and remember to use the tide stick on the arm pit area.

Penn State makes an offer to a 4 or 5 star recruit and it opens eyes. OSU is typically looking in state at 2 star recruits if they are realistic. Apples to lima beans.

Look I am not saying OSU is a bad soccer program. I think they have played really well the past couple of years. They just don't have the program cache to bring in the top echelon players.

You can be the greatest coach in the world but if you get to pick last or mid pack, that is extremely challenging to be successful.

                            Hahahahha you dumb fools

                            Top 20 in ecnl?!!!

                            Hahahahahahah

That was when every single top team wasn’t in ecnl.

When they were, crossfire was dead last in every age group with -30 goal differentials.

Some crossfire teams scored 1-2 goals all season and out college committed by 3 oysa teams.

                            You people don’t ever learn..

Top 50 in ecnl means you are roughly top 200 in the country.

You people got brain washed and now are going to learn the hard way come this year.

Well at the very least, they are the top ECNL club in Oregon now so what does that say for your club? And if you’re one of the clubs going the GA route you will be far below the very criticism you’re dishing out. Have fun.
