Ex Westside keeper with five saves, as she keeps the Beavs alive through regulation, but is eventually beaten in the extra frame.
She played a really strong game. This was the result I wanted and I’m really happy for Oregon’s backup keeper but skiba really did keep the Beavers in the game (that first half save over the bar was very nice)

I have no horse in this but it makes me happy to hear Oregon kids doing well.
I think for all the talk, we do pretty good in Oregon in relation to our size.
To give more context to my post above, each of my kids got 220k from their grandparents estate. Our FA put them in an array of index funds. My oldest got 100% aid between athletic and academic. She hasn’t touched her college funds. She’s going to have half a million dollars in the bank when she graduates next year and have no debt.
This is the magic of title IX.
I on the other hand had $0 dollars and 150k of student debt when I graduated law school and my future spouse had less money and more debt. We were broke.
Thank you Title XI.
Football makes crazy money. Fed law makes them
Share that. It’s a good deal for a lot of people.
The Oregon Thorns/oysa freshman played in 3 games for a total of 25 mins. The Salem oysa freshman at Arizona played in 6 games for a total of 113 mins. Oysa only Oysa only player has actually played more than 4x as many minutes on a higher ranked team. The 2 Ecnl freshman at Oregon haven’t played a single minute. Both injured? You’re right, they all payed about the same big amount of money on travel soccer. Like you said, hope they love their schools for the school part and wish them all luck. If they are unhappy, they can always transfer.
Transferring when they don’t play can pay off big time. The OYSA star who transferred from Oregon to Nevada played in all 10 matches at Nevada with 7 starts. Impact player, scored a goal and played 519 minutes. Personally, I’d easily pick that over the others who stayed at Oregon and Arizona and basically don’t play at all. Finding a good college fit is key. The highest transfer rate sport is women’s soccer for a reason.
Is there any club in the state that can stack up to the current recruiting class at CU ECNL? Even close? Ever?
THUSC Onyx had a better college place class and had stellar college soccer outcomes. Come back in five years and tell us how well your kids did at college.
