WUFC. Rumor has it they will also have an indoor Fieldhouse. But I believe that is one of the three fields. So to outdoor fields and an indoor. Talk about a club having facilities!

Actually you are confusing clubs in the suburbs.

Here is the actual club project with these designs you mention and funding.

Good for Eastside. (That said, it appears this is still in the planning stages, and isn't yet a done deal--it's unclear from the announcement whether this has been funded. As Eastside is a TA and therefore an Adidas club, I doubt Nike would be involved).

Oh nice, that will be good for the Eastside. WUFC has something similar in works as well. This is what we all need! More fields!!

It will be interesting to see which clubs benefit from the two new fields going in at Mountain View Middle School and the new Mountainside High School in Beaverton.

There are currently four classic clubs I'm aware of using THPRD fields, including turf fields: WST, THUSC, AUSC, and NSC. I imagine all of these, along with the THJSL rec clubs, will be the primary beneficiaries in the youth soccer community.

BSC might try and get in on the action, though they seem to be happy using the soccer field at Tektronix as their home pitch.

THPRD will manage the new fields near Mt. View MS; I don't know about the fields at Mountainside.

NSC is dead. A warning to all families considering these fly-by-night clubs.

They must have recently been funded by a big donor. A month ago they were still needing $750k.

Every club has it in the works..paying for it is the challenge. THPRD types, cities, counties
and even private religious schools have (turf fieldz) and they must serve all sports including soccer.
                          :
Very little revenue is coming in from rentals of these type fields because they cost the in season priority user so little $0 to $30 an hour during peak times. And they must be replaced every 5 to 7 years. Our tax dollars make it feasable currently.

Not sure how a rec or classic soccer club could service that kind of debt.

Familes already pay way too much to play classic club soccer with the field cost not being much.

But if Nike donated 10 million you could make it work and afford the cost of new fields after 7 years.

We have heard to no end on this site that WST is an organization that recognizes the best and only deals with the best. I am sorry, there is no excuse to have popup nets from Target. And it is incredibly lame to blame THPRD for this. WST is the home team, and they be embarrassed.
There was recently a very strong effort to bring in "real goals" by WST. THPRD wouldn't allow it. So guess you are the one that's WRONG.

We are on the same side as you buddy. We hate the goals more than you. Trust us.

And rumor has it, a big donor has darkened their door.

Supposedly, the turf at Conestoga is not big enough to safely store 9v9 goals when the field is configured for 11v11. They would be too close to the end lines and pose a hazard to 11v11 players.

Whether or not that is true, I dunno. Not my field, not my lawyers.
