Bracket E
Bend, IFC Eagles, NEU, BSC
A: Navy (1), WT FC Red1 (10), PCU (11)
B: Crossfire(2), CFC (9), LYS (12), IFC Cuervos (19)
C: ADF (3), 4H (8), RVT (13), Samba (18)
D: Copa (4), ETFC (7), Corvallis (14), SSC (17)
E: Bend (5), IFC Eagles (6), NEU (15), BSC (16)
And some thoughts:
In group A, Navy has to be considered the favorite--it dispatched both of its group opponents this past weekend, though it only beat WT F by a goal. That said, it has little room for error--as a three-team group, it is unlikely that there will be two teams advancing--it cannot lose any games in group play.
Group B looks like the Group of Death for the 05 Boys, as there are three teams (sorry, LYS) that could conceivably advance (assuming Cuervos is a strong entry). Crossfire has been struggling, and lost a keeper (though appears to have a more-than-adequate replacement). CFC is a dangerous team, and IFC teams are always talented.
Group C should be ADF's to lose. The main danger is from 4H, which is rumored to sandbag during fall/spring leagues but comes loaded for bear in Cup. RVT is essentially a bootball team, one that technically skilled sides like both ADF and 4H should have no problem picking apart. Samba probably won't win a game--there are teams in this tournament they can beat, but all of them are in other groups.
Group D is likely to be the least competitive--none of these teams should be any trouble for Copa, who has dominated ETFC in league, and shouldn't face any resistance from either Corvallis or SSC. If Copa doesn't come out of group play with nine points, Jaime will likely not be amused.
Group E, along with B, is the group most likely to produce an upset. IFC is simply a better team than Bend. NEU shouldn't offer much resistance. BSC, which is loaded with speed and athleticism front to back, might produce an interesting challenge to some of the more technically-focused (but less athletic) teams out there.
Projected group winners: FC, CFC, ADF, Copa, IFC Eagles.
Wildcards (this is a crapshoot): IFC Cuervos, 4H, either ETFC or Bend.

Obviously a westside post...good luck with FC Portland come knock out stage and I think you might be selling crossfire in group b short. They tied FC, beat ADF and already beat CFC in the spring while "struggling" and should beat LYS. I will give you that Cuervos is the wild card, I would guess that their coaches and parents are trying to figure out just who that team really is. They have only played a couple games all the way down in the bronze bracket but is a huge question mark. Anyone know how, who or why they are in state cup without playing in a premier league???

Actually, one could object to both Cuervos and SSC Azul in the tournament, given that both of them are playing non-premier in Spring, which is supposedly against the rules. OTOH, it's not that big of a deal.
Anyone know why HSC isn't doing State? They did well in Spring League, and didn't do President's Cup.

But last time I saw them, they got their doors blown off--admittedly, they may have had key players missing. It happens. No slight intended.
