understand that ECNL did not fail but it's on a path to.

US Soccer is stepping in to clean it up and bring it up to the new standards that are coming.

trust me, the soccer world is changing big time. If your club is not prepared they will be in trouble.

Took it hook line and sinker is right. Played against some great competition. Won more than we lost. 4 years of college paid for to a school that she wouldn't have entertained had she not played in ECNL.

And lost the last 10 games or so in a row dating back to last year. Paid $10K last year on top of the $8k-$10K that Tom soaked us for the previous three years paying for his vacations. Really happy about that PSU offer, never would have gone there without ECNL.

Keep hating! That's what I love about a free market as I can choose to spend my money where I want. Didn't lose the last 10. BTW Tom travels with our team to and from events so he is going on a "business" trip. Happy for the PSU kids as it is a good fit for them personally. Hell I am happy for the 10 other commitments from that age

When you combine ecnl haters with lack of transactional knowledge, you get dumb comments. When a retail business buys another brick and mortar, they don't shut down all their revenue sources. They mainly look to improve each store, maybe shutting down the ones without hope. So, I agree with you. There are 79 ecnl clubs. And just like ussda has over 100 clubs, the league needs that many to have........ a league.

My guess is ussda will look to make improvements, not clean house.

A third place finish in the OYSA isn't that bad. This age group is improving and working hard. Hope to recruit some more TA talent in May.

FC Portland 2001 were 4th in the watered down OYSA.

I am the OP.
Cleaning house isn't the correct term and in fact everyone will more than likely keep their teams for the first year but you can lose your status if your club doesn't fall under the criteria.
And it won't be called ECNL.
ECNL IS GOING BYE BYE.

It will be called USSDA and only the clubs that can afford to have teams at $500 a player will make it. It won't be about money now

FCP 02's rolled OYSA fall league, will now take any of the remaining better players and will roll. Your dd's team has one more year and will fold.

You didn't see the source? it was the same coach that told his Thorns Academy team that they were playing in Surf or it could have been the guy who said the Thorns Academy was getting an ECNL team
