Again, I think the results the USWNT is getting is working out quite well and most of those players are feeding from ECNL teams.

Some observations
1) Many posters talking about results and winning not development. Each parent should be focused more on how their dd is growing as a player. That growth doesnt have to happen at a particular club or team. It may be different for different players. Many of your comments are an example of what is wrong with youth sports today.
2) I also see several "we are better than you comments". Do you need a reminder on how old you are?? We all know better than to act like that, but we continue to do it. Cant we be respectful of each other? Again, another example of what is wrong in youth sports.
3) I also must point out that many of these clubs are not developing players they are acquiring players because of the programs they offer, such as ecnl. Many of the top talent came to those clubs that way. Nothing wrong with this, but just note that they did not develop much of the talent.
4) Food for thought, only 10.1% of high school girls playing soccer will play in college. I know we all think our little Suzy is one of them, but the statics are not in her favor, no matter what you do or what league you put her in.

Success of USWNT has very little to do with ECNL. It has more to do with competitive advantages such as largest player pool versus any other country and resources. Did you hear about how the Trinidad team regularly only has nine players at training as many can't get to practices: cost of transportation, etc?

you focus so heavily on leagues, tournaments and events. Training is where it is at. These teams will be limited to a 20 game season and will train waaaaaaaaaay more than play games.
