Does Oregon need 2 ECNL teams. Would they be competitive in ECNL if they consolidated talent across the state. Logistically it would be a nightmare. But it might make sense. I could also see ECNL relegating teams out of the league to keep competition level high.

Scared of what's happening?

As they have done for the boys level in 2007.
You want to argue it's not ? Why do't you just say the USWNT is not comprised of America's best female soccer player.
Good luck floating that one. Champ.

Good luck convincing people that your TA team is comprised of the best players in Oregon. Champ.

These arguments are silly. It doesn't matter which team/league has the upper hand in competition currently. The development of players will rely mostly on the player, not the team/league. A couple dozen games against regional opponents does very little in overall player development.
The hours on the training field and backyard practices matter far more than games. Ultimately, college coaches are looking for developed talent. Focus your time on finding more convenient ways to get more time on the ball. Regardless of team/league, college offers will go to the right kids.

These "arguments" are really just rants by TA lemmings who feel threatened because everything they've been told by their clubs and by the Timbers isn't coming true. So now they have to lash out to hide their stupidity and gullibility.

They should consider making teams seed in their geography and division so that you still have high level ECNL teams playing other high level ECNL teams. It is simply a matter of time before truly elite teams get fed up. Here in Portland we complain about driving to Salem, Bend and Medford. How would you like to fly here and stay in a hotel only to stomp the living snot out of teams? If they had different divisions then they could maintain a semblance of the elite that they started with and still get their money grab in.

And all the kids that live in middle and southern Oregon that can't really participate. If Thorns really wanted to do something useful they would locate their Academy in Eugene or Bend and consolidate the top talent from those areas instead of what they did which was just a knee-jerk reaction to them not getting into ECNL and then having to try to screw over the clubs that did. And they couldn't even do that.

Small minded fools
There is no collection of TA lemmings that listen on their knees genuflecting to every word that dribbles from the red headed kiwi. While it's a hysterical visua, it's really just a manifestation of the fears propagated by the boobs who spent insane monies on travel to be part of the lowest rung of the ECNL, at the local chapters of CU and FC Portland. The US GDA is coming and it will marginalize the ECNL, the ECNL know this and they are gutted that US Soccer is kicking them to the curb basically telling them your methods and structure suck US Soccer claims it will do better.
Our crappy collection of delusional parents in Oregon want to make a statement about Oregon's place in this, we have no say in any of it. We are irrelevant in the bigger picture of US Girls Soccer, nobody is any good in Oregon at Regional or National level period. So telling someone in Oregon your club is pathetic at Girls Soccer is a shared trait amongst all the clubs and teams, telling them they suck more than you is truly showing your Donald Trump.

ECNL is never coming to Oregon
Thorns are going to get the ECNL
All of the California teams are going to leave the ECNL
Oregon teams are going to get kicked out of ECNL
Of course a monkey can pick a successful stock every once in a while; eventually one of these anti-Oregon predictions will come true, but boy is it hard to bet on.

"Thorns are going to get the ECNL", yes they will get 'them' ECNL if they are selected for the US GDA. Good Point.
"All of the California teams are going to leave the ECNL", No, just the elite clubs.
"Oregon teams are going to get kicked out of the ECNL", yes if the parents of our locals refuse to pay travel fees to get hammered by stronger teams they will be 'kicked' out so to speak.
Great points.
