But why keep Joe, he has proven that he cannot grow a club and is very unethical. Pacific should go a different direction.

From what I'm told he is a Financial genius and has done everything in his power to keep FCSC above water

thing is when you've been around soccer for 30 years like Joe has and you look at the 20,000 families that he has had to deal with - I can garauntee that you will find 1,000 families that have had issues with him.

Ha if only 1,000. Why did Timbers fire him. Why isn't SC growing with his expertise? And only one Premier team left, but how many other kids left? How many U9, u8 teams left after dealing with Joe-quite a bit.

What is it again that you in particular are doing to improve soccer in SW Washington? Better yet...what background do you have in soccer & coaching that even compares to Tina's to have even an opinion that is relevant. It's a good thing that your only involvement in soccer is posting on this site.

I should point out that this comment was about being a doc which is more than coaching. If you are the above which seems logical, you have no business being a doc.

They also get paid money to be a DOC, so there is a difference.
And didnt the SC DOC just take a nice raise? Not sure how that is practicing fiscal responsiblity.

I don't believe he was fired. Unless you have facts, don't go spreading more gossip. Speaking from experience, one of the biggest problem(s) at club ball comes directly from the parents. Those who "know everything", do nothing to support the system, and constantly complain and spread gossip are the root of most of the evil and especially at SC but I see it at the Timbers as well. If you left a team because of Joe, you are an idiot. Just as is the case of parents leaving VT because of SD. I have children at both Salmon Creek and Timbers and can state for a fact that both DOCs are doing the best they can with what they have and sometimes they "embelish" or can be accused of being overly optimistic and therefore can be a tad misleading at times. In the end find a team that matches your kiddos skills and motivation that has a dedicated coach, a great group of supportive parents, and let them play soccer and butt out and quit stirring the pot.

Wellmhis contract stipulated he could not be fired. So he was forced to step down. If you remember, Timbers were the only big Premier club, but because of Timbers and Joe, then SC came about and I think WSA. Ask around, there are some fantastic stories from his time at Timbers. And Not talking about his embellishing. If you know so much, then you know other players and coaches who had to deal with him. Take two minutes and ask them.

Vancouver Club

there is only one club in vancouer and that is the vancouver timbers. The rest of the clubs and kids have been black balled GW wills it.

Portland Metro has enough quality players for 3-4 Premier Clubs...the rest should be feeders

We did find a team we liked, and then Joe came and moved three of our players to the U14 team and we essentially did not have a team after that. We were told to take it or he would just disband the team and keep our money. It was awesome and money well spent--you are right, he did embellish a little in telling us we would play all year long.
