VT will be using Delta in 2013

Harmony is about $1 million away from the $1.9 needed to start the fields. the board will not even start the project until VT is at 85% of funds. Someone has been hired to raise money and there are some good prospects as of right now. Don't be surprised if a big announcement comes soon with the name "Harmony" going away and the fields being renamed by a large donor. Needless to say whether a big donation occurs or it comes in small chunks over 3 year it doesn't matter because it is going to happen - barring a major natural disaster or if our government keeps sinking the ship :)

It's funny to listen to the person above rip on a club that is trying to build their own fields. I beleive VT has failed in doing so a couple of times but that this new Harmony deal is going to happen...maybe not right away but it will happen. I'm not sure why you Vancouverites would be so negative about a club who is trying to make soccer better in Clark County....what other clubs are building "their own" fields? Personally, if VTimbers moves to Delta Park I would look at my two kids at possibly changing clubs...it's only 15 minutes from us. My sources show this Delta Park project starting in a couple of months and that VT has the inside track to all three fields.

Hey, I thought this thread was about the FCSC and Pacific merger not about the VT field project. Why don't VT timbers start your own thread if they want to talk about their field issues?

She would be a worse choice than Joe or Vic. At least they know what they are doing to a point. Tina knows little to nothing on how to run/teach coaches or run a club.

I think they want her for the name. BUT noone would be worse than Joe. Everyone sees his bs and this is why everyone is leaving the club and why SC has to do something to save their club.

Just read the paper talking about female soccer coming to Portland and they interviewed Tina. So again, not sure how long she will sick around as a DOC.

looking at everything unfolding it looks obvious as to what should happen:

1. Tina should go play for a few more years.
2. FCSC should dissolve their what they call "Premier" (overpriced Premier).
3. Move all Rec/Select into Pacific FC Alliance.
4. Move all true Premier players to VTimbers who will better serve them.
5. Joe stay on as Pacific FC Director and work with Timbers in moving players that are ready for Premier.

This does alot of positive stuff for Clark County. I've seen Tina's 2000 girls team. They are the only FCSC team that I saw this year that was even close to a Premier team. They have 5-6 solid Premier "A" players - if you were to combine them with VTimbers you would have a solid team. I think they both finished near the top of OPL. I know that there are a few up and coming GU11's and BU11's also that should make the move. I'm not sure about the older groups like GU13 or BU13's and older. I'm sure there is one or two that could make a VTimbers team.

But why keep Joe, he has proven that he cannot grow a club and is very unethical. Pacific should go a different direction.

What is it again that you in particular are doing to improve soccer in SW Washington? Better yet...what background do you have in soccer & coaching that even compares to Tina's to have even an opinion that is relevant. It's a good thing that your only involvement in soccer is posting on this site.
