If Tina's in the picture, Joe's in the picture...

The only quality team FCSC has is GU12 Nemesis, and most of those girls would be better served by joining VT if VT moved the team to the RCL for better competition. The GU13 team has to use playups from U12 and playdowns from U14 to be competitive. The GU14 team is on it's last legs; bootball isn't working like it used to. Fortunately for them, the GU14 Premier division of OPL is fairly weak, other than the top couple of teams.

We live on the westside of the couve and left SC a few years ago because of Joe and their drama. I would love for the club to become strong again and start fresh. A more local option than driving to Camas would be good.

even without sc, pacific has teams that play division 1. check the opl website.

Then it probably makes sense for them to move to Pacific. They don't have much of a premier program. Then will not have to overcharge families for Division 3 premier teams, they can just charge them a select rate.

playing first division and being promoted are two different things. Most of the Pacific teams in division 1 are finishing 10th or lower. Merging Pacific and Nemesis won't create premier level teams. The only premier level teams they'll have are the current ones.

Pacific parents should stop responding to the crazy people on this board. They are timbers parents who are nervous about another big club in this town. Build a good program where players are challenged to be their best, where parents pay reasonable prices, and where coaches can control their own teams. Obviously, those ideas are threatening to them.

"Worrie"? I don't think so. There is only one real club in Vancouver - and VT is it.

                  - There can be only one -

Yeah, that is exactly what is happening. I see a bunch of scared parents on this board greatly threatened by the thought of this happening...

By the way, we should start a similar discussion about the potential merger of beta video tapes and the CRT television manufacturers...

Coaches need to be part of a system

I know that this idea will be foreign to you in Vantucky but good coaching is a collaborative effort where ideas and techniques are shared within a club. The best clubs in this country and across the pond have unified visions about how kids are developed and know what works best at each development stage. The best clubs have DOC's that are either the master teacher or coordinate the teaching of the entire clubs staff so that there is something called continuity between the teams and coaches.

One reason US futbol is sooooooooo F'n far behind the rest of the globe is that we allow thousands of individual coaches to apply their own "special ideas" about how to develop kids games. The results speak for themselves on the men’s side and on the girls side the only reason we dominate is Title VI an our sheer supply of talent.

Teams can absolutely leave and go to vtimbers. The problem you run into is that the coach of that team will not be able to coach them unless the previous club releases them which if you know anything you know joe and Tina will not allow. It will be worth it in the end though as there has not been one fcsc or pacific team for that matter that has done anything to justify a premier level team. Means to an end.

And as to Tina being the doc. That is laughable as she would be the least experienced coach of her entire parent staff. She would be directing coaches when she is already making poor decisions with the players she currently has. Unless joe is calling the shots she isn't capable of competing with the merger timbers/was club.

                          And not preggers!

Premier soccer= approx. $49,000.00 money I consider well spent and I would do it again.
                          Scholarship money+ approx. $20,000.00 money I consider a blessing.

Keep you DD's in activities that keep them busy and tired and you will find that you have a well rounded young adult in the end.[/QUOTE]

Sure beats the cost of unwed mother hood!

SalmonCreek u10 just won silver bracket in the directors Cup, so I'd say you're mistaken

I agree with your first paragraph and your overview of the current situation for both of the senior teams (except it is Title IX). But, the key point that needs to be made is that the vision has to be the correct vision, not the one outlined by Reyna on the US Soccer website. It has to be the right system with proven results; developed, maintained and implemented by both soccer and BUSINESS people to ensure the proper results. But, again, it has to be the right system.

We have to be a little careful about them implementing a system that is just a joke. Imagine if VT actually had a system, call it "kick and chase", that wouldn't solve the problem. Ultimately, it is a management problem within US Soccer. A clear example is this...not only do we not have a clear system, we aren't even consistent what size goals, fields or number of players that are on the field at U11. WA is 9v9, Oregon is 11v11, NCal is 8v8 and SCal is 11v11. That is a complete joke and a micro chasm of the broken system.

Which Division??? Is that the Premier Division or the select Division??

And I have seen that team, not too bad. Too bad they sand bag it so they can get results. Which Division of OPl did they play. The GOLD one like they should have? Or the Silver one?? So they could beat every team by 6 goals?
