Many good players are scattered between the two clubs. Maybe 4 to 5 on each team so it's hard to have decent teams when you only have 5 players on a team out of 11 who can play. When they merge will be able to get the good players on one team so it should help be more competative.

I love it. New generation of players..errr parents and it is the same bull**** debate about which clubs should merge and where the best players should play in Vantucky.
Real players at all levels will migrate to Oregon. Wait VTimbers and Sunny (I speak out of both sides of my mouth) figured that out and are entering their teams in the OPL.
It's Vantucky!!! the four or five players at each age group that are any good will be found and taken. Wait until ECNL comes to the girls side in Oregon. Sure as hell won't in Vantucky, Sunny will screw that up.

So SCSC will eliminate it's competitive program, known as FCSC. The teams currently in FCSC will be able to re-brand themselves as Pacific FC or disband and move elsewhere, but they will have to start supporting themselves. As long as those FCSC coaches are willing to work for free and the new DoC doesn't get paid, all will be fine I suppose...

VTimbers have made good efforts to reach out to teams at FCSC and Pacific FC who didn't have appropriate leagues to play in and helped them get into better situations. Look at Pacific's BU15, BU17, BU18 teams that are playing in the RCL this fall. They wouldn't have been able to do that without Sunny's help...

Vtimbers did their own Spring league for younger teams and invited Pacific teams, we have shared turf time out at Luke Jensen with Timbers and Sunny. We have not had any issues with the Timbers.

http://www.pacificfc.org/faq#TOC-Wha...c-FC-alliance-
What is the Pacific FC alliance?
The Pacific FC alliance is a committee that has been formed by the recreational boards of Eisenhower, Battle Ground, Lewis River, and Prairie soccer clubs for the purposes of managing their advanced level competition teams. This includes managing coach selection, tryout schedules, marketing and uniforms.
How is the Pacific FC alliance funded?
The Pacific FC alliance is not a stand alone club. Each recreational club has a budget for advanced competition and is used to support Pacific FC efforts, if necessary. Each board must approve Pacific FC expenditures.
