I haven't seen any club try to "monopolize" soccer until OCYS. CFK was growing, but never claimed it would be the only club. Same for Rush- growing and improving. FCA despite it's problems with FPS was a pretty good club until it hooked up with you-know-who.

None of them as non-profit youth soccer clubs ever had the clout to do as you claim. The only reason OCYS thinks it can is because it's backed by millionaires who own a pro club and are leveraging their capital to benefit the youth club.

I guess I remember it differently too. These clubs were absolutely trying to take over central Florida soccer. CFK tried to merge with fsa, did take EOS and would have keep going if they could have. I totally believe if they could have taken it all they would have.

Gotta comment here too. I do recollect the planned extinction of the daddy coach. Doesn't make me feel anything but I do remember that being the plan. It is kind of silly that that club now has mainly daddy coaches that hue would have canned if things had of gone differently.

When they "agreed" to a "merger" with OCYS, they ended up having a revolt led by the Dumpster Arsonist trying to unwind the deal because they felt like OCYS had reneged on the promised positions and pay. Sound familiar? Of course, now the Dumpster Arsonist is no more than a neutered little mascot, loyal to his masters.

As I said before- to compare CFK, rush or FCA and their growth plans to OCYS' actions is silly. But if it makes you feel better about your club, that's fine.

Dont know much about their issues, but hate is a very good word to assign to many parents in the soccer community. I sometimes look to the parents on our team and those on the other, and wonder if they have truly invested that much in their kids soccer or its just another game to them, an excuse to rant, say hateful things, act like the bully they always wanted to be under the cover of anonymity. Guess its better than screaming at the wife or the kids for their own failures or shortcomings in life.

I guess for some people, making up speculative stories about what a club "might have done" or "could have done" makes you feel better about your association with a group of people who actually "step on everyone with no remorse". This is known as rationalization.
