It’s posts like this which makes this thread not close to believable at all. I know parents of this team. They aren’t folding and won’t lose one girl. They will gaining a few in fact.

Sorry to shoot holes in your jealous agenda to mis characterize this team.

Unless you are the coach you wouldn’t know what you just said to be fact. And the fact that you profess to know this simply solidifies the point of this year long very sad thread. Why would your run of the mill joe blow parent (in your case Missy Blow) blurt out what you just said unless they are privy to information that, under normal (non cheating) circumstances, one would have no way of knowing?

This team is nationally ranked in the 80's currently according to youthsoccerrankings site.
That is damn good and nothing to shake a stick at. Stop complaining. Team is doing well and finish as semi-finalists or better in every big tournament this year and always play in the TOP division in every tournament they play. Only 1 win in ECNL league this year but only 3 loses (2 of them to the national champs). The other loss was 0-1. Most recent game was a loss 1-2 against one of the best teams in the country at 2006 age (World class ecnl). So facts are this team is pretty good. Not the best in the world but no one is claiming them to be the best.

Might be the only post I’ve read that is fact based on here without any bias or venom. I looked this up and everything written is a fact.

Ecnl / DA / NL is expensive but what isn’t these days.

Facts - there are 15 Northeast ECNL teams. We are right in the middle - there are 7 teams above us and 7 below us. We have won 2 games against teams ranked higher than us - one of those was over a year ago. Agains the teams that are currently ranked below us, we have lost 2 and tied 5. And yes, we have 8 wins against those teams, 6 of them are against Maryland, PDA White and Continental, ranked 148, 211 and 347 respectively.

Put another way - we are ranked 8th out of 15th in the NE ECNL. The majority of our wins have come across the teams that are ranked 13, 14, and 15. We have also most recently tied the 13, 14 and 15 ranked teams.

So I do believe the facts support that this team is the very definition of mediocre - and if you dig a little deeper the facts support a decline in this team's record.

Agreed but that post doesn’t paint a bad picture. Definitely not worth the amount of criticism this team gets from all you outside parents.

That post says this team is right in the middle of the NE ecnl conference. Ask around and you will find out the NE conference is one of the toughest and most respected conferences of the entire ECNL for 2006 age and other ages too. 2 of the NE ecnl teams were in the final
4 of the ecnl playoff with the 1 winning it all.

Playing the best, who train 3x a week, have real coaches and real development plans and no dad coaches, won’t improve this team - it will just continue to expose the faults in this team (lack of coach and lack of training) and how this

Keep telling yourself this - eventually you may even believe it.

But again no use arguing- at the end of the day everything about the team - the good, the bad and the ugly is all here in black and white for anyone to read - it’s up to the individual to interpret, whether the cost $50,000 over the next four years is worth what you will be getting. Everyone has different standards and expectations. Some will be all in and some will not be. It is what it is, but no one can say they don’t have the facts.

The key word here is declining. This team is not getting better. It is getting worse. Which is a shame, because for the most part, the raw talent is there. But when you barely train. Have a coach who could care less and an unqualified dad coach running the show, how do you expect to compete with other ECNL (and other decent non-ecnl teams) who have real professional coaches and are training 3x a week. Of course there will be a decline. The most insulting part of all of this is remember when someone asked if we could practice near Deep Run and RF said there are no good lighted fields up there. So basically RF is too lazy to drive an hour and we end up not practicing anyway. I don’t agree with a lot of the bashing of this team, but RF needs to go as does BB. If we got coach who was truly invested in the success of this team and not just going thru the motions, it would do wonders.
