The key word here is declining. This team is not getting better. It is getting worse. Which is a shame, because for the most part, the raw talent is there. But when you barely train. Have a coach who could care less and an unqualified dad coach running the show, how do you expect to compete with other ECNL (and other decent non-ecnl teams) who have real professional coaches and are training 3x a week. Of course there will be a decline. The most insulting part of all of this is remember when someone asked if we could practice near Deep Run and RF said there are no good lighted fields up there. So basically RF is too lazy to drive an hour and we end up not practicing anyway. I don’t agree with a lot of the bashing of this team, but RF needs to go as does BB. If we got coach who was truly invested in the success of this team and not just going thru the motions, it would do wonders.

Agreed - the raw talent is there but the coaching and training is not. RF is a qualified coach but just doesn’t really care never giving feedback or development planes, and allows BB to call the shots, while BB cares but is not qualified, having only played soccer in high school with no license to speak of not to mention the built in conflict and biases a dad coach brings. We are paying for a professional coach and not getting one. We train on average 1.5 times per week. We can not compete against The ECNL teams that are trained and coached by professionals and actually train 2-3 times per week- and this fact is backed up with our declining record in The ECNL. We have fallen several places in our bracket since last year and have tied and lost to teams we beat last year - those are facts. The girls are being done a disservice by the club and us as parents bc we have allowed the coaching situation and lack of training to continue. A true professional coach that was vested in this team would Allow the team to realize it’s potential. If that doesn’t happen expect the team to continue to decline. As the lack of training and coaching as compared to other team will further widen the gap with ours. Seems to be what happens at bucks all the time these days. And then people start to ask themselves is the money I’m spending worth what I’m getting - which many times means no college ball or D2,D3 college soccer.p - again facts based on the recent past bucks college commitments.

The team could be a really good one with the right coaches.

This team is nationally ranked in the 80's currently according to youthsoccerrankings site.
That is damn good and nothing to shake a stick at. Stop complaining. Team is doing well and finish as semi-finalists or better in every big tournament this year and always play in the TOP division in every tournament they play. Only 1 win in ECNL league this year but only 3 loses (2 of them to the national champs). The other loss was 0-1. Most recent game was a loss 1-2 against one of the best teams in the country at 2006 age (World class ecnl). So facts are this team is pretty good. Not the best in the world but no one is claiming them to be the best.

This team is good. Can’t argue with these facts either.

I see the haters and there will always be more haters then supports on this website but the fact is that people care about this team a ton.

The parents that take time out of their day everyday to come on here to bash this team speaks VOLUMES. That absolutely shows this team is worth their time. If this team was so bad or even mediocre parents wouldn’t bother on here for this long.

They would have moved on long time ago if this wasn’t a team that’s worth their time and thoughts.

what is most difficult to me is that the team is pretty good and could have a good future if the club were to make changes. There is not one person other than BB that would be unhappy if changes were made.

Club is not going to make changes, if they do the whole club could be exposed for the complete lack of leadership, BRD, and coaches being spread too thin with multiple teams, just to name a few.

Agreed club won’t be making any changes - the way it is set up with the board and the leadership being one and the same prohibits change. It is what it is at this point. Nothing anyone can do.

Not worrying about anyone - everyone spends money differently- and to each his own. I’m just trying to get some numbers for my purposes so I can figure out what’s best for my personal situation. Someone mentioned 10,000 per year is to high - can u break down costs that support that? The $10,000 figure was broken down and seemed to make sense, I’m trying to get alternate points of view. Why u so hostile all the time?

Can anyone give some figures on how much ECNL costs from u15 and up per year?

To me cost is everything that I am paying that I otherwise wouldnt be paying if my kid didnt play soccer.
