Either way your club produced a good team that's in the top 100 in the country. No one is going to second guess how the team was put together when you have that kind of result.

Sorry if that doesn't support your agenda but its an unbiased opinion that most unbiased people would agree with.

And if they are as good as you claim then no back room deal should have been necessary. I mean with such great players what were people so scared of? Why were parents so scared of open tryouts that they resorted to a back room deal.

Keep telling us how unbiased you are - one of these times we may even believe you - until then I am still LMAO - you provide hours of entertainment on this thread. 😂😂

Not sure you will find many grown, mature parents that would agree with how this team was picked, but I can see how you would feel it’s fine, most people want to teach their kids to work hard and earn your spots. And I am still LMAO! 😂😂

In your very small bubble you think this is strange how the team was picked. But this happens all the time in tons of clubs around the county. You would be shocked. So to many of us this is nothing crazy or abnormal.

And again the numbers back up the way they picked the team.

Keep telling yourself that. And are you the same poster that kept saying it’s just youth sports? If it’s just “youth sports” why would anyone put together a back room deal - this thread is full of hypocrisy.

I thought youth sports was supposed to teach life lessons to kids. Guess I am just naive. And I guess our two different views is why your kid will probably work for mine one day.

You are very naive. I don't say that to be combative. That back room deal you speak of produced a good team. You kid must have been viewed as not good enough by them. That could happen at a job also later in life so i wouldn't count on anyone working for your kid.

You assume a lot and I’m not saying that to be combative either.

I've been around the block a few times with my older kids and have seen other clubs put together teams in a similar fashion. That's all I'm saying.

Thanks for the clarification and we can agree to disagree. Because there is no way I would ever want my kid to be part of a back room deal. I want her to work hard and earn her spot on any team, job or in school. To each his own!

You and me both, and I think most people want their kids to work hard and earn a spot on any team, job or in school. We agree there.

But if your kid was viewed as a "must have" and picked for a team or job would you withdraw them because of the way they were "picked"? Be honest. I don't think many parents would withdraw their kid (I'm just being honest).

The problem with your analogy is that there were tryouts scheduled- If my kid was a must have I wouldn’t have demanded that she and her friends be put on a team - “all or none” I would have let her tryout and earn her spot. If these kids were so good that they were “must haves”. Why not just go through with tryouts and then pick them? Do you understand what I am saying? There was no need for a back room deal. These “must haves” would have made the team regardless- am I missing something?

And as long as we are being honest can you honestly say that the team had the best 18 last year? Or did they let some kids go that should have made the team, but didn’t because of the backroom deal? I know of several that were better than some of the girls that were part of the back room deal. Who knows how good the team could have been if there were fair and open tryouts, because it definitely would be better than it is now.

Sounds like you are mad at the way the coaches picked this team. I understand. But this has nothing to do with the parents of the kids. When you get an invitation to a team or job you probably accept it. Go to tryouts this year and if your kid is really good you will get an offer. No doubt. At U15 and above it gets more serious and they will want the best team on the field.

The roster is fine. The best kids made the team. No such thing as a backroom deal. Just sounds like a parent that doesn't have a daughter that is at the level. She is fine on the b-team, it's all good.

Problem is we need a coach that is all in to guide the team. We need a real DOC to make sure we don't have a Dad coach.

We need to be a part of a club that is moving in the right direction.
