At U15 and above it gets more serious and they will want the best team on the field.
I’m not mad and I thought we were being honest - The coaches didn’t pick the team - RF had never even seen the FC bucks north girls play so how could he have picked them? You are backtracking covering for the fact that the meeting held at JM’s house took place before the coaches ever saw the girls play. And the deal was take all or take none. Figured you couldn’t be honest. And don’t worry I wouldn’t want my kid to be part of this team. Have a good night!

At some point you'll get over all this. There is more important things in life. Peace.

Unaffiliated guy going back and forth with someone on here for several hours. It was odd when unaffiliated guy posted rankings. It’s even more odd that he has stuck around.

Can't argue with the rankings though. And the fact there is no such thing as a backroom deal.

And yes, Rich Finneyfrock was there as well as Chris Fehrle (meaning club leadership blessed the deal). Brian Brossman was also there as the team’s manager, which was weird since at that time he was just a dad of a kid who had not yet tried out for and made the team – although I guess in hindsight, somehow Brian made her a part of the deal too.

Our goal was to keep the FC Bucks North team together. We were one of the top ranked teams and wanted to keep that going as we made the switch to ECNL. With a couple of exceptions, it was a typical “all or none” deal. The club agreed. Before tryouts were even held, it was decided that the team would include 11 FC Bucks North Players and Brian’s daughter and her closest friend at the time from her previous team – meaning 13 of the 18 roster sports were already chosen before tryouts ever occurred. While there was legitimate competition for the few remaining spots on the team at tryouts, the truth is that there were several players from both within the club and from outside of the club that showed up at tryouts that were better than some of the “chosen” players that were part of the “deal”. We were successful in keeping everyone together, but unfortunately this deal kept this team from being the best it could be. And today it still keeps people away from this team, as people, rightfully believe, that this team is largely picked before tryouts are ever held.

Meeting was Wednesday March 14 in the living room of JM and NM.
            Tryouts Monday March 19.

They had a couple of girls who could outrun opponents on a baby 9v9 field. Actual soccer skill and soccer IQ - not so much. Just a couple of girls who would run fast with their heads down. They had a great record and were ranked really high on gotsoccer (which means nothing). The Parents started to believe their kids were the best soccer players ever - all destined for the Olympics and D1 schools. They had their own YouTube channel. They were so confident that their kids were legit superstars that when it came time for the Deep Run and CRUSA teams to combine, they demanded that their superstars be kept together and be allowed to continue their incredible run towards girls soccer domination. BB latched on, thinking his kid could also become a superstar. The parents got their wish, and the backroom deal at Joe Malone's house finalized the deal.

Then the size of the soccer field expanded. The number of players went from 9 to 11. The ECNL competition got better and faster. The practices went from 2 times a week to 1. The coaching went from Audrey to a dad coach. All of a sudden, just keeping your head down, and trying to run faster than someone wasnt cutting it. All of a sudden girls couldn't rely on their athleticism alone and they werent able to get by with little to no soccer skills and super low soccer IQs. Then the losses started. First it was to top ECNL teams. Then losses and ties to teams that are not considered top ECNL teams started. All of a sudden, these poor parents had to confront reality. They had to start to confront the notion that their superstars who such a short time ago were destined for girls soccer domination, were just average. Barely. They had to start confronting the idea that their little superstars werent going to make the olympics and werent going to all get D1 scholarships. This was shocking to them. It shocked them to their cores. Everything they believed in – put their hopes and dreams in, turned out not to be true. Devastating. Then the checks they started writing for this started to get bigger. Next year’s will get even larger!! And on top of all of this they had to make peace with the idea that they were driving their former little superstars over 1 hr each way to practice, which seemed like a small price to pay when girls soccer domination was in the cards – but not so much any more. Now on top of all of this they are being publicly called out. People questioning their former little superstars legitimacy. Its hard. Its hard because these poor parents are still coming to terms with reality but others are calling them out faster than they can accept it.

So yeah, Im an NPL parent. We are under no illusions that our daughter is going to be the next Carly Lloyd. My daughter never tried out for the ECNL team. She enjoys playing soccer and we all enjoy being grounded in reality and the NPL team has served us just fine in terms of what we are looking for. My heart bleeds for you. No parent should have to face such utter disappointment of the likes that each of you have had to face. You can feel the frustration and disappointment with each and every post. I am sure it is difficult. Im sure trying to blame someone else makes it feel a little better. Reality can be funny like that some times. As you continue your journey and continue to confront and be confronted with reality, I wish you the best. The sooner you accept it, the easier it will get for you. God speed.

And the most EPIC post ever which fully explains the motivation behind the back room deal. EPIC

                  Most EPIC response:

Either way your club produced a good team that's in the top 100 in the country. No one is going to second guess how the team was put together when you have that kind of result.

Sorry if that doesn't support your agenda but its an unbiased opinion that most unbiased people would agree with.

Let’s see how it all works out for this team. Because thus far everything that’s been predicted on this thread has happened. Team has practiced once a week, team has horrible record, and team is on a downward spiral. Time will tell!

We are 96th in the nation!!! We don’t need to practice. We are that good. Once a week is actually too much. And the whole dad coach thing - we don’t even need that because we are so good. Next year we are just going to have parents pay $5,000. For that you will get 0 practices a week. Games will be coached by BBs 10 year old daughter. Roster will be limited to 11. But you will get a special patch on your daughters shirt and bragging rights when some website ranks you 96th.

By the way, how much of that 96th ranking is left over from the 9v9 baby field We can run faster days. If you follow that trend line, it looks like this team was at or close to # 1 at some point a couple years ago when it was a red team playing junk opponents.

3 things to take away here:
                        1) There is no such thing as back room deal
                        2) NPL parents are super jealous (hence their whining everyday on here for months)
                        3) Epstein didn't kill himself

There is no such thing as a backroom deal is this weeks version of BB is not a coach. And NPL parents are the new Ukies parents . Nothing you say can be believed. You’ve lost all credibility. A+ for effort though and for making me LMAO at your deflection attempts and outright lies. 😂😂

Backroom deal did occur. It’s been admitted to. We know the date. The location. The participants. The demands made and the deal. Most importantly we know the outcome. Nobody is being fooled by your silly denials.

Correct, there is no such thing as a back room deal otherwise all teams/clubs would be guilty of it.

Yes NPL parents are jealous since within minutes they stormed onto your post with crying and whining at the ready.

And yes Epstein didn't kill himself. 3 for 3 on facts sir.

So if it didn’t occur and the girls are so great. Would you publicly advocate for fair and open tryouts with neutral outside evaluators. And then let the chips fall where they may. It seems like there shouldn’t really be any objection to this.
