One that does not involve trying to mess with 16 year old girls
I sense the inference that people "want" her for their team. Every talented player i know has all sorts of different people grabbing at them for their own agenda. Almost no one sits back and says "how can I help you get better, whatever that involves"

    Whether its

    1. posting up exploits to bask in the reflected shine
    2. Claiming development
    3. Over use

Elite players are exploited left and right to sell the message. The not so subtle message that this is because of us and it could be you. It isnt and it wont be. The PR machine never stops. Its what makes these clubs money. It doesn't help the payers much

Was reading some other regions threads, and it look like NEFC will be sending their 00/01 team to San Diego to challenge for a National Championship, ugh, wish my daughters GDA team would even consider that, right now its a NO-GO for us, its just humiliating IMO.

Why is that crazy? You sign for a reason, to play the games, and if we make the playoffs the team should make the trip, no honor anymore...

More likely there is no money any more. Wallets are empty.

Most of their players are 2020's, of course they would go out. If you have mostly seniors, their parents would rather put the money towards college expenses. Even if your kid gets a full ride, you still need to her stuff to go to college with

NEFC is #1 in the NE division, but they went 0-3 and finished in the bottom 10 in FL this month. No NE made a real run for anything last year.

If you're recruited and a senior, try and play HS. It's your last year, enjoy it.

Hey Einstein, HS soccer is over, and my kid enjoyed her fall season, WITHOUT HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER, and she has improved greatly, she is much better than any of HS friends, and has just been offered a D1 scholarship, WITHOUT HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER....

You anti-GDA jerkoffs always write crap about HS soccer being this glorious experience, its not, but if it was for you, great, I am profoundly happy for you.

P.S. do you wear your old letter-jacket while you bang your wife??

Congratulations on your daughter's commitment! Here is my question, and please forgive me if it sounds ignorant. Could your daughter have gotten that commitment by staying with her former club and training with a boys team during the HS season? I recall a player who currently is a UVA who did that for a few years

not the poster, obviously, but yes players can and do get commitments all the time without giving up HS soccer. players had the option before of not playing hs if they didn't want to - they just had to find other ways to train during the hs season. gda is not a necessity for college soccer. hs+good club is still a very viable route.

If your kid wanted to give up HS soccer then that's GREAT! (SEE ALL CAPS!) But she didn't have to in order to end up in the same place. The player makes the player, not the league.

I believe HS really serves a different purpose. Can it help with recruiting......yes for one girl that I know it did certainly who UVA came to see her high school team play as they were on the fence with her and not really sure if they wanted her. They came and they saw and then offered her based on seeing her play HS soccer. So to say that HS doesn't have its benefits then I guess.............sure you may know soccer but no nothing about sports. And I bet this kid is or at least considered one the best to go UVA but hey.
