Travel is a well known expense to these leagues, sometimes running even more than the club fees themselves.

I know some parents that had a tough time affording it, but would never ask for help. Should their kids get promoted because family are sacrificing at home instead of asking for help? League and aid should have nothing to do with it in the land of politics.

Our club had kids on a team that were cut from other teams in the club. Another older team in the club had spots. They took them. And the club paid for some. Has nothing to do with whether or not they even deserved the spots more importantly if US Soccer would have a look. They filed a slot and some received payment to do it.

There are too many that get called in that shouldn't already. You have watched the last few WC's with the YNT's right? And surely these kids were "seen" previously too. Playing age group with a team you know is different than playing internationally. The international academies are no joke. Those kids have very high soccer iqs. Niece played internationally vs adult teams and youth academies when she was younger.
