That's what BC mom can't comprehend. Getting your azz handed to you doesn't advertise the program, it just shows how over their heads they are.

The reason why BC doesn't want to play anyone local is it only shows they aren't a good team, and the conference is the only selling point to the program (not the school, the program).

Sort of like Stars White - if they played all the local clubs and don't do well, how bad would it look for them? Better to run and hide and fall back on the league. BC = Stars White.

I personally like how RI does it - essentially 4 programs in the state (Brown, PC, URI, Bryant) and they do play each other. Not always in-season, but spring/pre-season at the minimum.

For 99% of student-athletes the selling point is being a student-athlete with the end game being those 4 years are setting these young people up for the next 40 years. You have no understanding because you’re a local guy with your simpleton comment of why BC doesn’t want to play local teams. Unless you have experienced your daughter playing for a program that BC i cannot explain it to you. Student-athletes come to BC to experience the total college experience. So club soccer TS poster you can keep talking about local club soccer teams and local college soccer.

BC will always play their ACC opponents. BU and NU and Harvard are good OOC teams that generate interest. You can do both

Seems BC and their parents just accept their fate: No NCAA bids.

They won't win the conference, so they need to rely on a good RPI. They do that by excelling OOC against solid teams.

Beating a really poor team will not move the RPI. Losing to a poor RPI team is disastrous. Better to play a Harvard and lose than to play a South Florida School for the Alternatively Enabled and win.

Hey ex college ass’t/ ex collegiate player, they have a new coach playing in a new league with new players. You do not have to be soccer smart to know that you want to get the “lay of the land” your first season by scheduling easy games to get your bearing. But feel free to post as if you know what you’re talking about with your extensive soccer background. Ex coaches do not talk smack about soccer clubs or diminish the top soccer league in women's college soccer. You can BS the TS posters but you can’t BS the real ex college players. I know exactly what an RPI is and see how the Ivy’s have used it to their advantage these past few years.

More interested in the BC on the jersey and the student-athlete that it also says on her resume. P4 D1 BC student-athlete. Like I previously said it’s just 4 years setting yourself up for the next 40 years.

Yeah like Harvard plays the local schools then travels to play Northwestern, a good P4, then Santa Clara, the National Champ a few years ago. They play top opponents to boost their RPI.
