If my 2025 has no D1 or D2 offers at this point is it time to move on? Realistically speaking, not just the random exceptions. She isn’t looking at top D1s but even the lower ones aren’t offering.

Take the time now over break and have her reassess her targets both soccer wise and academically. Also review her video/resume and "cover" letter she's sending to coaches. There is still time and those programs may still reach out (they usually make offers to their top picks for then work down their list), but she should broader her reach

Transfer Portal seems to be wreaking havoc on the mid to lower tier D1s for 2025s. My D had conversations with schools and all of a sudden theyve started talking about looking at the transfer portal and then reassessing in January. These were schools that reached out on June 15th and she's been talking to for months. The portal is causing issues pretty much across the board not just soccer but all sports for men & women college teams.

I know the radio silence ones aren’t interested but several are giving mixed signals. Rather not say club but it is a club that sends kids to D1/D2 teams (and she isn’t targeting P5). Getting discouraged so I’m trying to give her reasonable advice but not false hope. Appreciative of the feedback.

Not OP but same boat. What is the advice when a coach has been in contact since June 15, gave great feedback after ID, scheduled unofficial visit, watched more games but suddenly won't move forward or says they will give you an update but then doesn't contact again? Do you encourage the player to text again or is it better to leave it alone and not seem desperate?

If in ECNL the January showcase is a great excuse to reach out to coaches again with schedules without seeming desperate. Coaches have their lists and work their way down them as players accept or reject offers. Then there's transfers. It's nerve racking for sure but it doesn't mean it's over. Keep at it and see if you missed any appropriate targets

There are still 12 or so HC jobs open. I would say if you're not in talks by April, then it's time to move on.
