When your kid goes to college and doesn’t play soccer, she can tell her roommates about all of the youth soccer games she won. Her new sport can be beer pong.

The reality is that half of the kids who do commit to great schools will also not play in college. Many transfer out or quit sports altogether by sophomore year. I would say its best to not talk down to anyone because things get real serious and some good players ride the bench and struggle to get game time in college.

It's TS. Occasionally you can glean a useful bit of information but it's mostly anonymous trash and gossip

And everyone going through the process needs to ask themselves: Can I see myself here without my sport? If you can't, keep looking. So many things can happen and even if you play all 4 years it eventually ends and that piece of paper is what lands you a job.
