No wonder JF left. And no wonder the U16's didn't score a single goal. That's what happens when you only have one striker and players are pigeon-holed into positions too early. No development - at all. Run!!

Was watching the Live stream in the company of a couple of relatively well known local club coaches and a former Revs staff coach. They were absolutely shocked at the system (if you can call it that) that the Revs youngsters play. I can tell you, a lot of chuckles heard throughout.

JF is no phenom, believe me. Another me-me player amongst many over there.

Similar style of play as Durfee HS in Fall River, wouldn't you say? I saw a lot of Dean College there too.

You may have been watching the NYCFC stream. " string together some passes well"??
            Complete disaster.

Who's the 7ft central defender? Is soccer his primary sport?

Do those coaches have USSF C or above licenses? I know DA has requirements but maybe it's not for the entire staff.

Amazing that KV is a National team player. I saw all of Monterey's starting 11 that were a lot better than he is. My guess the reserves are much better as well. How do NYCFC and Atlanta United already surpass the Revs academy as very young clubs?

The fall season, everyone was in step with the Revs. By November, panic had set in and all the gyms began to fill with young Rev players looking to practice shooting, dribbling, whatever was missing from being pigeon-holed on day one. By January, the other compliant players caught on and joined their teammates on the fields and indoor courts. By February, when practices resumed full time, the boys had felt caught up for the time they had lost in the fall. And now it's April. What is your kid doing this week besides Revs practice? Whose advise is he seeking? What will he do in June/July?

They barely have driver's licenses, that's the problem.

There might be a real reason Revs practices are closed sessions. They don't want any material witnesses to the mass slaughter of youth soccer players.

He's seeking the advice from other league coaches and in June/July, he's leaving.
