That said they could promise you this will happen then not do it, or some hot shot also tries out in November and he bumps you off. Regardless teams in general don't like waivers. The schedule is all year and games have to be played when DA tells you to. So teams don't want to be missing key players in the fall. Coaches have to re-work game strategy when players come back. Lastly, it causes friction with the players who give up HS, bust their butts in the fall, then get knocked down when the waivered kids return.
