The Revs have the luxury of replacing underperforming players whenever they want. Either you excel or you are replaced. If your kid isn’t up to the task then don’t challenge them.

"the pathway for their players"?! This is definitely written by someone at the Revs that has no idea how to develop players and uses words like "pathway". The only pathway the Revs coaches are concerned about is the pathway of the money into their bank accounts. No accountability, no performance standards, just keep collecting that paycheck.

Is there anybody you won't blame? This one is the kids and the parents in the same post. That's classic.

It's been a constant drum beat of the same material for two days. They definitely gave some coach's nephew an intern position, no pay of course.

I find delusional Type-A parents need to hear the same thing 5 or 6 times before it sinks in, or at least shuts them up and drives them away.

Why is it some players thrive at the Revs and others collapse under the pressure? Is it nature vs. nurture? Do the players have inferior genes or are they incapable of handling the pace and pressure mentally?

I predict you’ll be really bitter when the 2021 and 2022 commitments come out.

Holy macaroni. Are you on crack or just cracked? Several ARE 2021 commits. And the BC and Penn kid haven't even taken the field - Not ONCE - for the Revs... so stop your gloating and bloating paycheck.

                    2020 commits:

Georgetown (5 years with the Revs)
Harvard (5 years with the Revs)
                    Penn (new player)
Providence (3 years with the Revs)
Stanford (5 years with the Revs)

Is the Rev’s residential program still housing players during this pandemic?

Or hey if you are going to go to college you can play here but if your not home schooled then we are just going to use you to help the ones we can put on our USL team. At least this way the kid knows where he stands and can then in turn make the decision on if playing in a few GA Cups will increase his exposure enough to make the Revs worth it.
Now that the teams are specifically targeting ISL players your theory about not caring about college bound players doesn’t seem to hold much water. Long term contributors are headed to both amazing institutions of higher learning that also happen to be perennial soccer powerhouses. There has been a noticeable strategic shift on the part of the organization. They’ll take talent for 4 months of the year to bolster their teams for the Academy playoff run.

The MLS cup is in the fall so they'll lose that outright. Can't see them trading 6 months for the whiney spoiled elite. Nope. Gonna hit the residential trail with more housing and online schools.

The playoff process starts at the December showcase, after the ISL kids are done with school soccer. In December the winners qualify for the Spring Cup. The Spring Cup points count towards the USSDA playoff standings.

                            How exactly am I wrong?

The ISL kids start contributing at the Winter Cup, carry through the Spring Cup and then on to the summer playoff run.

Get used to those "whiney spoiled elite" players taking your kid's spot after they finish up high schools soccer every year.

For 95% of the players in the ISL, it's utter nonsense. There are a few per team, on the very top teams, that are quite good. That's it folks. Nothing more to see.

And those kids will be picked up by the Revs going forward to help their teams better compete nationally.
