Why would a parent want their child to play professional soccer in America?
There is no fame. There is no fortune. When players “retire” at 35 they need to get a real job.
If you play for the Revolution Academy going forward not only do you forfeit your MLS rights to them, but you become significantly less attractive to European clubs now that you have to sign the solidarity compensation paperwork.
When your best case scenario becomes skipping college to make $85,000 playing for a bottom of the table MLS club it hardly seems worth it.

My son has known several Revs players for years. He does private training with a bunch of them. He can’t believe how unhappy they all are. Word travels fast through social media so dozens of kids are learning about all the dysfunctions from kids on the Revs. The region deserves a better MLS academy.

We’ll finish 9th out of 13 teams in terms of goal differential at MINUS THIRTEEN!
We’re going to finish behind the damn Bolts.
Clean house now. We need a midfield. We need players that can put the ball in the net.
