Definitely don't sign, but that is something the MLS clubs wanted - some kind of financial incentive for developing players.

Why would a parent want their child to play professional soccer in America?

There is no fame. There is no fortune. When players “retire” at 35 they need to get a real job.

If you play for the Revolution Academy going forward not only do you forfeit your MLS rights to them, but you become significantly less attractive to European clubs now that you have to sign the solidarity compensation paperwork.

When your best case scenario becomes skipping college to make $85,000 playing for a bottom of the table MLS club it hardly seems worth it.

My son has known several Revs players for years. He does private training with a bunch of them. He can’t believe how unhappy they all are. Word travels fast through social media so dozens of kids are learning about all the dysfunctions from kids on the Revs. The region deserves a better MLS academy.

Everybody knows the Revs are sh*t. The only players that like the Revs are the sh*t ones that get good playing time.

I have been in the work force now for about 30 years. I would give my right arm to be able to play a game I love stay in shape and get paid for it. Are you kidding me? Real world can wait.

I agree. An injury ended my dream back in the day. I would play for almost gas money.
Only a true passionate would understand.

The real world will be a slap in the face to high school graduate former players.

4-2 loss to Westchester. PO has driven our team off a cliff.

At least EIGHT if not TEN teams in our division will end the year with more goals than us.

We’ll finish 9th out of 13 teams in terms of goal differential at MINUS THIRTEEN!

We’re going to finish behind the damn Bolts.

Clean house now. We need a midfield. We need players that can put the ball in the net.

Sorry but I though it was about development. Why would you stay if coaching so bad. Sorry but you’re the dumb one here not revs

I hate to break it to you but we could finish as low as 11th in the table but will most likely settle in at 10th.

That really sucks. I feel so bad for those boys.

Totally right about this. You have but one life. Enjoy it. Education can wait too. Just do it.

You may want to familiarize yourself with the concept of opportunity cost.
