I have worked with three coaches on OYSA travel teams that worked hard and got a lot, if not all, of their girls soccer scholarships. Players that had the tools went to top level soccer schools and got a lot of money, some when to middle tier and some went to private small schools. The coach needs to develop the relationships with coaches and be honest, but that is a lot better than getting to see a girl in two games at a showcase. The coach can talk about work ethic, attitude, effort..etc. which are really important in college.
A very deserving player got an offer from a good D1 school sight unseen, solely based on the word of coach simply based on track record of the OYSA coach in sending previous players.
If you think a girl moving 3000 miles away to a school she has never even visited SOLELY because of a soccer program when she has never met the coach, never watched the team play, never met any players, never visited the area, and never been scouted in person or received any feedback from the coach about what he thinks of her game is a “success,” you (and the coach you love so much) are a huge part of the program.

You’re not very smart.
The coach knew the club coach well and his phone call got her an offer. The college coach eventually saw her in person. It was her dream school. Sorry your narrative is 98% wrong. She started 3/4 of the games her first two seasons and is very happy.
Title IX Ted is living in his Mother's basement and ranting about soccer scholarships for girls.
We just let him cry it out. He tuckers himself out eventually. Then someone changes him and gets him a warm bottle of milk before putting him down in his crib.
He's got quite a bad case of the tantrums.
I for one get a good laugh every time he has one of his tantrums.

We are talking about two different players. The one I am referencing hasn’t played a game yet due to Coronavirus. The one I am referencing this was not her dream school. It was a school she had never heard of. And the coaches still haven’t seen her play in a game due to Corona. Finally, just because it happened to work out for the player you know doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. Still feel smart and superior?

Why don't you look at the post you quoted. That is the girl I am talking about.
With a tacky fedora on with a feather sticking out and an overgrowth of nose and ear hair.
Spitting knowledge to the clueless, whatever Ted's motif might be on any given day.
It's truly a blessing to have a pragmatic world view on such a shallow and mostly ignored topic.
I'm just glad collegiate American Football can give something to obscure girls activities by virtue of legislation interpretation. Right place, Right time...lucky penny! 4 leaf clover!

Ah Ted, you are the only one that thinks that but if it feels good, continue.
The fedora with the feather though, you really ought to re-think that. It's not helping.
