Large rosters with limited playing time is the main reason. Whether they are not good enough or not shouldn’t make a difference. All kids should play at the younger ages.
What clubs are they going back to? I guess all will find out in due time if any are even leaving at all...

Confirmed 3 of the 05s are bailing, and another is likely. Good call for these families!

They probably have no idea where they are going. Hopefully they get a fair shot wherever they turn out.

I am a W.T.F.C. parent and I cannot honestly remember any change from the 1st half to 2nd half of that game. Crossfire plays fast and athletic, and so do we. We had our opportunities and so did Crossfire. The goal you reference, if I remember correctly was a clean up. I guess it changed the game in the sense that you were no longer losing.
I believe that they are referring to the kid from Xfire who scored the 2nd half goal against the WaTimbers. Look at the game report for info. He is a sure-fired starter and one of the best in the Oregon DA. Great kid too. He didn't start the first half but made a major impact the 2nd half. He is typically a starter. Regarding FC vs WaT last week, WaT was missing one of there best defenders but pulled down an excellent defender from the 04's (an 05 player). They were also missing their dynamic mid/fwd that is in Spain. They didn't sprinkled their typical starters in both 1st and 2nd half. They have a balanced team so there isn't much drop-off from starters/non-starters any given day.

Haha- eastside has won 2 games (snohomish and rush) and in no way is a good team, good try though. You are still a dumpster fire

edit: they sprinkled their typical starters in both 1st and 2nd half. They have a balanced team so there isn't much drop-off from starters/non-starters any given day.

From what I hear that is true of 03s. But certainly not 04s. Not sure on 05s.... I wonder who is quitting

I would hope the little DAs would voluntarily push their best kids into TA, and give those exiting TA a soft landing.

Hard to push anyone into TA when so many turned down invites. Get rid of the toxic political coaching/roster issues and establish more equitable playtime and the 05 group may be healthier next year. Of course this would mean the children of parents who are friends with GW would no longer have guaranteed training and roster spots.

Everyone knows that if you want to make the Timbers Academy you must sign up for private lessons with the head coaches so you can make the team.

That is simply not true at all. Nor is the the other post about being friends with GW gets you a spot. Grow up ladies and gentlemen. Stop making excuses. You don't have to like it, but don't create blatant lies.

Uh-oh one of the Lemmings appears to be upset! Are you starting to feel insecure that your precious snowflake is not so Elite?

Nope, not insecure or upset one bit. I am just setting the record straight, so you understand the facts. Maybe you are making up theories since your kid wasn't selected. Move a long and stop facilitating lies. It's really lame.

Tisk tisk- settle down. in its current state TA leaves a lot to be desired and in no way has all the top talent especially in this age group. If nothing changes TA will continue to rot from the inside out and will become less and less desirable for anyone with a brain and morals. It's time for our market to work together to promote opportunities for the top talent and put the money and relationships aside. We are doing no favors for our children in the current format whether they are top flight or merely rec it's become a ******* match. Put together a collaborative effort from all clubs and respective coaches and directors and allow input from multiple sources to select the best possible group year in and year out (I realize that the last couple spots on any roster is subjective but that is not the current issue it's over half of the current roster that do not belong). Instead of bching on this forum let's come together and figure out a better system and structure to fascilitate opportunities for all children involved in soccer
