Xfire wins 1-0 in a very physical and borderline dirty game- xfire dominated possession and shots on goal and score could have been much more lopsided but we battled
Nope. Looks like they started with a softer lineup first half. Turned the dogs loose second half...and Vantucky played their top two ‘05’s on age. Three of those ‘05’s are very good. It was a boat race
Vantucky clearly has the best DA in the area. They should be playing in Seattle league
thats funny, stop fooling yourself. While you have one of the top teams at this age there is nothing clearly better or different between you and x fire. You tied them and they did not even start all their top players in the game based on the game report and they boat raced you this summer when they did. Your 06's leave a lot to be desired and your 04's would get beat by pcu and are not even the clear front runner in da. As for playing in Seattle- this wash timbers 05 team would get boat raced just like TA does. FYI - TA would be the top team here so stop fooling yourself. They have 7-8 top players from the area and no other team has more than 3 or 4. The problem TA has in Washington is they have no depth beyond their starters and the subs give up goals and the starters wear down when the second wave comes at them when the top Seattle area teams sub and have very little fall off. As for Washington Timbers, the advantage they have is they get all the kids North of the river in SW Washington. They are not competing in their own backyard for players like every other team is as it's the "only game in town" unlike in Portland where you have 5 DA teams and countless OYSA teams with talent spread out all over the place for one reason or another.
200k north. Nice try/excuse. I'll agree that Xfire is a great team. All clubs teams will be full of ebbs and flows and no team will consistently dominate. The teams and clubs that stay consistently near the top will have the ultimate bragging rights. Wa Timb do not need to be in WA DA but the TA should play in Oregon.

Once again Nice try- 2.4 number includes vantucky- and Clark co. Is actually bigger in population than clackamas county and the same size as Washington co. and those 2 counties have 3 da teams and several top oysa teams that battle for talent. Not making excuses just pointing out the facts

WashT looked very good out there today. FCP defenders struggled the whole second half trying to play out of the back. WashT pressured well and did an excellent job putting it into space for and finishing against FCP's two '06 defenders. As an FCP parent, I would really love to see the defensive line (minus 1) that won the State cup last year get more playing time.
Congrats Washington Timbers on a great Fall, and YES, you guys would probably win 6 or 7 out of ten against the TA!
Here, I'll simplify it: If your county has a DA team, you get counted:
Clark County, Washington/Population
459,495 (2015)
Capital FC:
Marion County, Oregon/Population
330,700 (2015)
Eastside:
Multnomah County, Oregon/Population
790,294 (2015)
Xfire
Clackamas County, Oregon/Population
401,515 (2015)
BSC/Westside/FC
Washington County, Oregon/Population
574,326 (2015)
OYSA:
2 Vancouver clubs (splitting less than .5 mil pop):
3 clubs out of the counties above RVT/Eugene/Bend
7 clubs within the counties above (splitting 2+ mil)
Fuzzy math doesn't win you a poor argument/excuse to begin with. If i am reading between the lines I am hearing "we are at a disadvantage because we live in a major metropolitan area and cannot find enough kids to fill out a quality roster"? Nonsense.
Oregon 2 mil and change. Clark less than half a mil. Seems level to me.

Nicely said FC Parent. I think all of us probably feel the same way with our clubs/teams. That has been the hardest part with DA. You have good lineups that produce, and then the coach plays others and shifts kids to different positions. Putting the development in DA. Just because I understand it, doesn't mean I like it.
