Weird how the FC Portland's red carded player had it reversed just before game time. Is there a fee for that OYSA? Or maybe a special form?

Maybe one of the yellow cards was issued to him in error. Earlier this season two of our players got yellow cards in one game. When I checked the OYSA website both cards were issued to the wrong players. It wasn't a huge deal to get fixed but it took some time because the league people had to contact the ref and get him to verify his errors.

It was reversed on the site. He was listed for an ejection earlier in the week. That was changed by someone.

Not only that, but just seconds into the game he targeted/dropped ADF's most aggressive player. To set the tone I guess.

Weird. He pretty clearly was booked twice during the Copa game--and was originally listed as ejected for a second caution. Now, the disciplinary record was changed to indicate that he only received one yellow--and no other player for FC has been assigned a yellow in his stead.

Unless someone had strong evidence (i.e. video) showing that a yellow card was given in error, I can't imagine an official being pressured to rescind one after the match is over.

If Copa got this sort of "service", you can bet the usual suspects would be screaming how the Timbers are rigging things for an Alliance team. I will observe Hanlon's Razor ("stupidity before malice") and make no accusations of anything untoward, but this does seem a bit irregular.

Can we all just agree that the 1 ref experiment failed miserably, but by all accounts, in this incident...there was no mistake. This is sickening that the young man was allowed to play. This only reinforces for him that he can harm others without fear of consequences.

Yes, and he should have been booked AGAIN on the very first play of the game today. FC was the stronger team in this final, but this player should not have been there. He was a major threat/factor and scored the first goal of the match about 50 mins in. There's a case for this game going in a much different direction without him.

*spits drink*! Never was the game going any other way. Could have been 5,6,7,8 for FC. The woodwork was your 10th defender.
And if either team was dirty it was ADF. After the play follow up shoves into the turf? That was the rule.
They took one FC player out near the end where one went high, one went low then stomped him after he won the kick. Classy.
They beat us and they beat you, no excuses.

Seriously, dumb azz...what is wrong with you? I give less than 2 ****z how old the little kid is. What I care about is his character, which prior to this event, clearly was lacking. Now what has he been taught? That he is not subject to the rules; that he is above being held accountable. FC Portland and OYSA just told that kid that he is such a great player, that he receives special treatment. And as anybody who has played this team knows, that is not at all the case. Irreparable harm has been done to this kid's mindset, and he is now always going to expect that he is too valuable to be held accountable. That is what sickens me, dick. And it should sicken you and everybody else as well.

Let me get this straight...are you saying that you went and watched a 12 year soccer game that your Son was not playing in?? That is pathetic. And creepy as hell dude. Get a life. A beautiful Sunday afternoon and you went watched two teams, neither of which your son was associated with. What the hell is wrong with you?

There were some Copa families (players and parents) that did go watch the final; this was encouraged (though not required) by the team. Keep in mind--a lot of these kids know each other. There are ex-Westside players on both ADF and FC. A lot of them go to school together.
