How do HS aged girls manage their homework schedule with GDA not to mention classes they'll miss when teachers are going over units. I get kids can do homework but when we traveled for ECNL, there were a couple times my daughter missed something important the rest of the class learned and it impacted her test grades. Fortunately her teacher let her re-take but only averaged the two scores. But with AP classes I can foresee some players struggle to keep their grades up. For this reason we are staying with ECNL. GDA travel schedule is too much.

Crossfire United U16 team played 24 games between Jan 21 and May 29 and only 6 were at home.

We get it. GDA will be all rainbows & unicorns for the lucky starters & ok for the rest of the roster that's just there for the starters. Ecnl might be similar but Ecnl at least offers high school soccer, playing on teams in OYSA, guesting, and other soccer options.
For the lucky starters of the 4 teams that want to concentrate on soccer, GDA will be awesome. That's 44 girls from 05 on up. The rest of the soccer players in the state will find other good options for them. Some at Ecnl, some at GPS & some at Alliance or other local clubs. Hopefully everyone finds a good fit and situation. It'll all change again in another year.
