Two, you have to build a good core group that builds from U11 to U13 so that you don't need all of these top players. You only want to have a few coming in, otherwise, your first year you are working to integrate all of these players together. Did you even see the results of the U14s from last year? It was horrible. It's hard enough with this CU model in that you have the C portion all starting out at three or four clubs, then by U13 they come together for the Crossfire team and then you have to mix Crossfire and Thusc teams together at U14. The only reason that there was one decent team at CU ECNL last year is because Onyx has played together for a long time and they didn't take many players from Crossfire. The other teams were disasters. It will continue to be that way until they get continuity.
Does anyone ever buy your BS? Good luck to your group. I hope they know what they are in for.

Pre-ECNL is not really anything. ECNL starts at U14.

The current '02s will split next year: the younger kids(Jan-July '03) will stay at u13 as 2003s and the older kids (Ayg-Dec '02) will move on to u14 to join the current Jan-July '02s (who will stay at u14) on 2002 birth year teams. This will help the current u14 ECNL teams and possibly mix up who will be the best of the non-ECNL & non-Thorns Academy leftovers. TS or TT or Eugene is my guess for best OYSA league 2003 birth year. The others will lose too many top players to ECNL. CFC is far & away the 2002 birth year league favorite.

Sorry to be dense, but why is CFC the 2002 birth year favorite? Is the current u14 team all 02's?

The vast majority, yes. CFC will also not lose players to ECNL (tho star is a Discovery player) and will gain strong 2002s from the u13 team. Similarly, FCP ECNL u14s are 75% 2002s. Like CFC, they are doing well now at u14. Repeating u14 with the majority of their already very strong teams in tact will make both teams even stronger next year.

How many 2003 players do TS and TT have? I was told 2002 TT players and coaching moving to CU ECNL. What will the 2003s do?

Sounds like ECNL starts at U13 next year

TT coach isn't moving to CU. He's been fired from there once already.

It would be a good move. You would get a set of pretty good girls to fill out both the 02 and 03 teams next year. It depends though on whether the coaches could work together. Maybe they come in from the Crossfire side.

That's what CU ECNL tells everyone. Problem is, the bad results last well beyond U14.

Odd statement given CU ECNL widely regarded as best in Oregon and getting stronger with time. Bigger net with more and bigger talent.

"widely regarded" within CU. No one else thinks that.

Well no-one at UofP lite anyways. Everyone else agrees CU clearly infront.

I didn't know he already worked there. Seems like a good fit for Thusc - same personality as the DoC.

Clearly in front of what? The queue for frontal lobotomies?
