A Pacific and SC merger would continue to dilute elite soccer in Clark county. If we want to compete with the best of Washington, we need one club that stands for excellence. Timbers.

Thought we had this issue solved with WSA joining Timbers. Here we go again. Pathetic.

There's always somebody whose kid can't make the "A" team at the big club, so they have to run off and start up their own club...

Let me guess, your kid is the dumb $%^ that gets a yellow card every game and your wife is the team mom so your kid makes "A" team for Timbers each year but, somehow sucks.

When the agreement or merger or what every you want to call it occurs the result with be another big club which offers Premier opportunities. YES, Pacific does plan to have premier side.. FCSC will be the premier side with only difference in name and instead of Pacific farming the kids to Timbers at age 14 they will stay in club and be coached by FCSC with Tina as DOC. I guess the Pacific coaches got tired ot loosing the good kids to Timbers at 14 now, there is another option. FCSC had good coaches but, not enough kids. Pacific has kids but, not enough coaching experinece to coach at premier levels. If Timbers are good club should still attract the kids but, if there all smoke and mirrors the kids will stay at Pacific.

I think you have the clubs confused. Fcsc seems to lose all their kids to the Timbers at U14 and U15. There are no good high school FC teams. So not sure what you are talking about. Pacific is select, which kids are they losing to the Timbers at those ages?

And Tina is going to do pro soccer and be a DOC? Why would she even want to do that.

Tina will not have time to do both....at least not effectively.

Tina didn't have time to be an assistant DoC this year, and she wasn't even playing...

FCSC - Pacific merger = train wreck

Should be fun to watch. From the outside.

WHEN FCSC and PACIFIC finish agreement they are going to have a Premier side to Pacific so they will not loose kids to Timbers. So, what part did you not understand.? Tina will be the DOC from my understanding. She is not playing professional soccer now. There are two boys teams playing one at Pacific and one at FCSC at premier level now and both team are winning teams. Yes, they are at the high school level too. Like I said, if Timbers is a good club they will still get th e kids but, it sure is nice to have another option for premier and not have to be at the mercy of the Vancouver Timbers.

You people do realize that the Timber Alliance clubs are the same clubs they were before they became Timber Aliance clubs. Different uniforms, same coaches, same programs. If you liked them before, you will like them now.

Yes, but the difference is the Pacific team only charges $600.00 all year to play at that high level. SC charges $1200--1300. So now if I have to pay the higher cost, then I might want to go the Timbers as they are a much larger club and can offer more trainings, cross trainings, etc.

This is the problem FCSC had, charged equal or even more but offered less.

So they better learn how to charge a lot less.

Tina will be playing Professional Soccer - she will not be the DOC unless Pacific wants her for her name. She was ADOC and Tech Director for our club this past year and we didn't see anything for the $24K we paid her. So expect less at Pacific..........my family is moving clubs.
Pacific is looking at charging $1100 for Premier. VTimbers charges $991 for the same stuff.

Don't move to Timbers to save $109. Don't move because Tina or Sunny is the DOC. Move because you think your child will have a better experience with that team or coach.

There are people I know who are considering both options but it will come down to the coaches and those have not been announced.

                                OPL does not equal Premier.

Most of the teams in the OPL are far from being "Premier" level and the kids/parents would be better served playing a shorter season for less money and having the ability to play other sports in the winter (at which the kids might be better suited)
