So what does that say, your combined teams are 11th and 12th place since none showed in gold and finished behind FCSC in silver. Sounds like you should have combined at least these two teams to beat FCSC. They you could say at least you were the 10th place team.

We are talking about FCSC

Hate to burst your bubble but, there are other girls in the county that can play soccer and compete with those Timber girls and actually don't want to be on the VT. Now, give it a rest and realize that there are coaches and kids outside of VT that can play decent soccer. And remember were are talking about 9 year olds.

I would ignore the previous poster....if you are happy at VT or FCSC or Pacific then that is great....it's important to "want" to be where you are at.
FCSC and Pacific are great places to be for kids that are not serious about soccer. There are 9 year old parents and players that do not want to be serious. It cost $250 to play in the U10 Academy at VT...that's the cheapest in the area. And you never know...maybe your child will get more serious by U13 or U14 and decide to move to a club like VT that offers more.
And at young ages the best players change throughout the year...and they are most likely NEVER on the same team...it's only at about U12/13 that they migrate to VT....it's always been that way and it always will be that way...even with a Pacific/FCSC merger.
VT welcomes a Pacific/FCSC merger....hopefully it will help organize them, get better coaching, especially at the young ages...young kids are not getting the quality technical work outside of VT....so when they do come at U12/13 they are behind

"FCSC and Pacific are great places to be for kids that are not serious about soccer."
This is an unfair statement. At what age does a kid ---NOT a parent--- decide they are "serious"? Certainly not 9 years old!
And beside what is your definition of "serious"? Is it "wants to make it a profession?"
"Serious". It's all relative. Just enjoy the ride. And you said it best with this line "it's important to "want" to be where you are at"---that's the key.

But Why?
19 pages into this thread and I still don't understand why Pacific FC would want to do this. What are the real benefits for current and future Pacific FC players? Reduced costs? Better coaching? Better fields? Attracts better players?

Better fields???? actually, I think Pacific does a better job at locking up fields than VTimbers or WSA, kudos to them.
Attract better players??? at the young ages possibly, but by the time U13 rolls around and preparations need to be done for College Showcase Tourney's etc you'll find the best players moving to VTimbers or across the river.......the Timbers DA Program is just beginning.
Bottom line is that the soccer landscape has completely changed with the Timbers Alliance....it's impossible to start up something new and be successful. It would take an act of God and about 10 years before Pacific could even be close at having a consistently regionally recognized group of teams that compete. I think the questions should be:
What are the goals of Pacific FC? Develop college players?????Create and develop a home for players just below Premier level in hopes that they could develop into a solid Premier player.
If the goal is to try and compete with VTimbers/Eastside/FCPDX/THUSC then they are developing a model that will fail.
Now if they are developing a model to feed the above clubs with quality players than they are some of the smartest soccer saavy people I know.

SC would join Battle Ground, Praire, Lewis River and make one giant rec club. And that club would feed into Pacific. Just like Van West rec club does. So SC would would just be one rec club out of 6 that feeds into Pacific. So they would only have 1/6 say in things that went on.
Then SC could drop their charade of being a Premier club and drop a lot of expenses before they have to go out of business.
