This might just be one of the reasons?
Possibly but that thought process will only work inside of Oregon. Try taking a larger team to California and you won't see the same results. Talent and skill will still over take size.

I would expect to see the '97s beat the '98-99's, especially at this point in the ODP process. Who ever was keeping score and posted it on here is rather sad. The '98 girls had 2 teams with each team having 5-6 subs with girls that have never played a full size game together playing in a formation that most are not familar with.

I am not sure why someone would post a score of an ODP age group scrimmage. I think it is funny. My guess is it is to give some credibility to the group. Here is the thing. If the 97s didnt beat the 99/98 pool every time, even with a weak pool, we are in big trouble. There doesn't even need to be an excuse "formation" "more players to sub." Silliness

I would agree, unless the score was 3-2 with the 97's coming out on top. That would lead to some credence that the 98-99 pool is better then anticipated.

Speaking of the 98's, did the rotation mean anything? Was it random? Are there still 9 girls to cut before Eugene?

According to the emails, next week they will post the names of those making the trip to Eugene. Good luck to all this coming weekend.

I wonder if they will get the "ice baths" the 97's did last year ?
