Let me repeat it to be clear.
      1. Why you cannot have 3 days /week practice?
-Specially if DA gets 350+ hrs of training, why premier teams or any player who wants to practice cannot get that opportunity? why they get only 72 sessions per year and why few select teams of GB/CM get more training?
      2. Why there is no conditioning like SSP or similar?

Example: If your Purple team plays FCA and they get 3 days practice + 1 day optional conditionig opportunity
Or Rush who practice 3 times per week and 1 day optional group play, How come OCYS charge more fees and gives less practice? Why GB can get priviledged treatment and pay same fee and get more training?

Dude, take your kid elsewhere. It's obvious they could offer 7 day a week practice and it not be enough for you. Better yet, if you want to stay how about you volunteer to run conditioning drills on a day they don't practice.

What you saying is: We watch a player for a year and do not train him. Then compare him to someone else whom you do not watch the entire year or do not coach and decide that player seen on that day is superior. Who is naive here?

Let me repeat to be clear - if you have a problem with how your club is operating, go talk to the club about it. I can't do anything to help you. Whatever explanation I give to you is irrelavant, because I can't change anything for you. Go talk to someone who can make a change.

If you are not DA or ECNL;purple is a good option but please do think you have a shot at DA.

No, that isn't what I am saying. You are making things up.

You cannot offer 3 days then why you fictiously make up 7 days? That is why you are called a car salesman, deflecting the subject. Do what is possible and just do it. Most likely I will send you somewhere before that and my kid will stay where she is.

If you need volunteers, I will step up graciously and will do whatever it takes if it helps. But cheating and depriving of opportunity will not be tolerated and will be condemned. This is my club and I will ensure it will function to meet the needs of majority of my community kids. They do not have to go anywhere!!! I will be asking this PR soon when he comes to my office to meet BD.

This is the problem with soccer - too much parental involvement. Fact is if your daughter was good enough or had the potential to be good enough she would get plenty of training. I know that is cruel, but that's life and doesn't just apply to sports.

Our purple players were put on a field to scrimmage other players who did not have a shot at DA. They didn't get a fair shake at all. We even had a player on our team that practiced with the DA all season. Not a stiff at the DA. Again....if you are on purple....you are treated like ****.
I empathize but you need to start analyzing the situation better and most of all, begin being honest with your son's abilities. I am gathering he is either a 98 or 99. Last season the OCYS U16 Academy was a highly ranked playoff team and practically half the team was 98s. Most of the 98s were coming back, so roster spots were already limited to begin with. In addition, the cream of the 99s from a super strong U14 Academy team were already tabbed for the U16, add to that a couple of very strong players who transferred from JFC 99 DA. Start doing the numbers and you would have seen that there were very very limited spots your son was fighting for. Unless he genuinely stood out ( was a true difference maker for the team) during the season and looked a ringer at the DA tryouts, your right, he had no shot.

OK, now you are saying Parents are clueless as if you are the authority of soccer or any other sport. You are also saying your purple team players are not good enough and have no potential hence do not deserve 3 days per week training?

From what I am reading players from other clubs have a better chance at DA (they are better developed elsewhere).

Wouldn't that make sense? I would expect the best players at OCYS to already be on a DA team. There may be a few players who move up or down, but if they selected the teams correctly, you wouldn't expect to see significant movement within the club. However, a player from another club may be better than a current player. That doesn't mean players are better developed elsewhere. That means the better players at OCYS are already on the team. You can go somewhere else in the hope that you will be "developed," but when you come back you have to be better than one of the current players in order to take their spot. If you aren't, it doesn't matter where you came from, you won't make the team.

How many players from other club's second teams have come to OCYS and made DA?

I don't read any of that in what the poster said. I think they struck a nerve with you. Parents are generally clueless and tend to be blind to their kids shortcomings so they are not usually the best people to add constructive comments about their players potential.

BINGO! With MLS the DA will be much harder to make, and you will see kids brought in from all over. DA is part of OC and Purple is OCYS, yet CM and GB give the impression they are connected. Like Purple under the age of U13 is some type of pre-DA. In fact I think they called it that in the past.

You should select a team that has a coach who really is dedicated otherwise you will end up with basic service to be provided. Other teams practice 3 times a week and even during summer because the coach enjoys it and parents support it. It's not just about a paycheck.

The fact is most kids will not play past the age of 18, so find a place that you and your kid enjoy. If they have what it takes, DA will find them.
