The NEW stadium will be filled and Mr. Phil's pocket's will be filled with cash. No way to prove that new Tourist are coming for soccer. After the hype created by grand master softens the truth comes out.

Oh grow up. Labeling the comment as "hate and anger' is nothing but Junior High name-calling. Phil, OC and the Idiot politicians need to be held accountable for the claims they made when selling the stadium to the voters.

it's not "hate" to remind people that the Return On Investment PROMISED by PR was due to new tourism coming to the City to see MLS soccer. Not cannibalized tourism from other attractions, mind you- actual people making a trip to Orlando who otherwise would not have come.

Some would prefer to sweep it under the rug, and say "oh well- we're committed now and what happens will happen". that shouldn't be allowed-and some will be loudly reminding Buddy and Teresa of their commitments to the City if the new tourism doesn't roll in.

There are absolutely demographic studies that can be made to confirm the new tourist dollars. Happens all the time. but guys like PR hope nobody checks- because all he really cares about is building the stadium with as little of his own money as possible, and reaping profit from whatever source he can- whether it cannibalizes existing tourism means nothing.

this has nothing to do with somebody's daughters' soccer club. We were discussing the new stadium, the future MLS team and its advertised ability to bring tourism to Orlando.

Knowing next season will be played at Citrus bowl I'm NOT Panicking. LOL Maybe thats the real reason for the new stadium. Although with MLS I thought 10,000 season tickets would be held aside for Brazilian and English tourist flying to Orlando to watch Kaka and an amazing MLS experience.
