Something that is well understood in America is Winning. 98%/99% of Orlando Residents haven't a clue when it comes to MLS Division 1 NASL Division 2 or USL Pro Division 3 soccer. Winning in the USL when your a focused business on winning MLS status is easy. These USL players from competing teams are waiting tables at night to pay rent. They travel on buses to play Orlando City. They play their homes matches in High School stadiums while Orlando City uses the Citrus Bowl.

American's understanding winning only and OC owners are giving our local politicians a winning ride. Good luck to Orlando.

I can't wait to see the buses with brazilians and English tourist lining the streets of Orlando.
When you say Brazilian and English I assume your referring to tourism industry that will boom because of MLS soccer and stars like Kaka that have signed to play in Orlando. Even though Kaka is Older and could NOT sign in other major leagues around the World; MLS is a perfect last paycheck for stars like Kaka and his talents will still prove useful in a lower world league like MLS. MLS is America's top league by far and really the only league even recognized by foreigner but it's far far far from leagues around the World. It would be considered possibly the worse level league but living in America does have it's appeal. Orlando City sold our City leaders on Tourism that comes with MLS and signing players like Kaka. Kaka was great from 17 to 29 but now is in his 30s.

Kaka is a class act having followed him for many years. Kaka is a family man with a strong belief in the Lord. Kaka will raise his family in America.

I for one can't wait to see him play but will he draw brazilians to Orlando that aren't already here for Disney World and our other attractions.

The model of signing stars past their Prime is a tactic used in MLS. NY Red bulls signed a French star the LA Galaxy signed David Beckman others franchises have done the same. Beckham sold Jerseys and brought women to the stadium. Beckham did nothing for tourism because well educated Brits are not going to fly to LA to watch David Beckham. Kaka will bring already visiting Brazilians to watch a little soccer. Orlando City will have cameras rolling to prove their case.

Either way it does not matter. The sales job has been done on our city leaders.

How are things progressing with the Church Property? Have we kicked out the god fearing church members yet?

You're delusional. Kaka won't draw Brazilians to Orlando any more than Beckham drew Englishman to LA or Howard draws Americans to England.

The ignorance of the MLS sheep is just astounding. It's embarrassing to see Phil play everyone like an orchestra full of fiddles.

What makes anyone think Brazilians will leave Disney to go see a has-been soccer player in the minor leagues of World Soccer? Even if they do, that's not the NEW tourism Orlando City promised. That would be pirating existing tourism to line OC pockets.

              Silly silly sheep.

They had to rebuild this year and they have. Tryouts was a huge success and just seen what happens to that goal difference. Finally ecnl in Orlando will be a success.
Yes, this is the year OCYS has three ECNL champions.

Good luck to OC ECNL this year. I hear you have some great teams and I know some of
our players are discovery players at your club. I hope you do well because here in Jax we want ECNL and your success will hopefully bring more ECNL to Florida.

In the SEC, I think that is feasible in 2014-15.

ESPN and World News has picked up on this story. This coverage does not help the OC cause. OC is dependent on foolishness and blind believers like our local Mayors.

                      Stupid and Stupider.

" Tourism will increase " Brazilians will flock to Orlando…. This stupidity will cost our City Hundred of Millions of dollars over the next 5-7 years. The upkeep of the stadium alone will cost millions. If your a businessman and stand to potentially reap the benefits then you should pay the full load in your business venture. Our elected officials are a joke. They have bought into the Hype.

The English did NOT flock to watch Beckham play the French do NOT Flock to watch Henry Play for the Red Bulls. Argentina has a retired superstar playing for the Columbus Crew of MLS and NO one Flocks to Columbus. The elected officials in Orlando are a complete and utter joke. Do some research! Stop buying everything you hear from a savvy salesmen.

Fix the Problem by playing at the Citrus Bowl for 3 years. Hire 6 men to check passports at each of the entrance gates of the Citrus Bowl. If at any game you count more then 100 passports from tourist from either the UK or Brazil please report this information.

After 3 years and a proper passport count then start the building process.

Why rush into a new stadium when we are renovating a beautiful stadium right of the road. This stadium was good enough for host World Cup matches in 1994. Now the stadium will be brand new and is more then good enough for playing MLS matches.

We have to build a New Stadium.. MLS told our elected officials that we must build a soccer specific stadium for Orlando to get an MLS franchise. Who told MLS to tell our elected officials that story? That's the really BIG question! The elephant has entered the room. Please do not ask that question.

So who told MLS to tell our elected Officials that story.

Atlanta will play in the same stadium at the Atlanta Falcones American Football team ( NFL )

The NEW franchise in NEW YORK will play in Yankee Stadium. The Yankee play in a Baseball Stadium. ( MLB ) Just in case our elected officials have not heard of the NY Yankees. The Yankees are a baseball franchise that play baseball.

MLS officials have given the New Franchise ( MLS in NY ) the Okay to play in Yankee stadium.

Come on Mayor's put your research team to work.
