Why does everyone keep blaming the youth club? OCYS has absolutely nothing to do with the MLS stadium ... good or bad.

Maybe you should explain that to the loyal members of OCYS. They do nothing BUT try to associate themselves with MLS every chance they get. And they just as easily try to disassociate themselves with anything negative, like the stadium controversy.

Did you read my post? Jacobs and other county officials claim they did look into the details and determined that it would have been more expensive to use the Citrus Bowl.

You have a very naive view of how these things work. If the objector doesn't present any evidence to support their opposition, then it is pretty easy for the proponents to prove the project is worthy. I'm not asking him to prove a negative. I searched for 5 minutes and found an article that said that renovating the Citrus Bowl was an option. And that came straight from the "businessman's" mouth. Did Jacobs and the other proponents mislead the other Commissioners and the public about the costs of renovating the Citrus Bowl? I don't know. Maybe they did. The reason we don't know is because people like Edwards were too lazy to do the appropriate research and ask reasonable questions. It would be nice if we could expect everyone to be honest and only tell the truth and to release all of the facts even if they don't support the project they want. Reality is much different.

Go to the U12G thread and you will see that the U12 girls are considered in the top tier in the state. JA has done a wonderful job with these girls. And the U11G were the only team to beat PV who won Region B Cup. FKK lost in group play because of goal diferential. So the future is bright at FKK for the younger girls.

Technically, I didn't call you a name. I used "naïve" as an adjective. I didn't even say you were naïve - I said you had a naïve view. And if you believe that a politician is going to present all of the negative facts about a project that they support, and that the other politician's who are voting on that project only have a responsibility to listen and vote based on what that person tells them, then my description of you is accurate.

But feel free to tell me why you think I am naïve. I eagerly await your words of wisdom.

Since Edwards voted against he did do his job. He is now calling out other commissioners for not doing there job and investigating this deal better.

Research update. The new expansion MLS team in New York City will be playing in Yankee Stadium. Last I checked the Yankees were an American Baseball team. Yankee stadium is not a soccer specific stadium.
