The fact that any one thinks Phil is influenced by anyone shows lack of your knowledge of Orlando city. Phil does his thing and does it well. Like it or not, he has done what no one with all their egos could ever do and that is bring soccer to Orlando on a Mls level. Well, OC has DA and ecnl which go over the head of pdp. DA isn't suppose to participate in those programs and all the kids besides them in the club can do odp so pdp which is optional and relative to your level. The DA points directly to the national team and that is clear on their website. Odp and pdp just offer their selected players and hope that the national team picks them. Do a little bit of homework and you will find what I did. All this pompous better than you stuff is just getting ridiculous. Pick what is best for your kid and do it with a smile on face and let everyone else worry about themselves.

You do realize that Shane Kelly was submitted as the home field (keep telling up to go to Oviedo, we did!) the 15 mile rule was "violated" because GB (at the meeting) pointed out that the new lower fields were within 15 miles by about 5 yards. Tell me again how it's all about FKK out to get OC?

Great, you know where there are fields 5 miles up the road. You see, 99% of the youth soccer clubs do not own there fields. So clubs are kind of dependent on where the local cities and counties have property to put fields. Which is why the 15 mile rule has never made much sense to me, how can you dictate a 15 mile rule when the clubs have no say in where the fields are. I'm sure if there were fields 5 miles up the road FKK would be more than happy to move to those and get their FYSA affiliation.

As far as US Club goes, I don't think your argument holds much water as you stated it has been announced that they are using him for a PDP event. If he really was on the outs they would have found someone else. Plus if he really was that bad would CONCACAF use him also. He must have some good connections some where. You are right that he may have burned some bridges and FYSA doesn't care for him, they don't like anyone questioning there great decision making, even though that is what people on this forum have asked for in recent years. There was a thread dedicated to them needing to make changes and how they need to get new blood. FYSA hasn't had the best reputation around the country in the last several years, and their antiquated ways is what has allowed US Club to gain a foot hold here in the state. Look at the changes they have had to make lately to try to combat US Club, they are reactive not proactive, so do you really think that they are the best at making decisions for youth soccer in the state. They don't even follow their own rules, just go to ODP tryouts to see that.

By far the saddest post to date. Literally making excuses, ridiculous as they are, for a man who arrogantly broke the rules and flaunted it to the membership like it was some kind of victory. Then you denigrate the the governing body of youth soccer in the state? Some of these people have worked for over a decade as volunteers so your little Mias can play on Saturday. If this is the state of Florida Youth Soccer, you can have it. I would not pee on you if you were on fire.

Pretty obvious you have a personal axe to grind against HM. And that's the difference, Dad; you're angry at one guy, and you focus your vitriol against him personally. The rest of us (all 9 clubs in the coalition) are working against your whole Club.

Your own evidence highlights the nature of the dispute- OCYS went after HM personally ("deceptive practices" and "poaching charges") while FKK talked about serving a community and growth.

Ok, I don't expect to have the same coach at u16, I hope my son is on DA. I am very happy now because I believe he is getting the best training at his age. You can't wait until 14 for a good coach, you need it now when they are younger. Besides the fact that we usually win, our boys play well. It is a competitive team and they compete with each other at practice, I love it. If I wanted a cushy little enviroment where everybody gets a hug and a trophy I would have him somewhere else. They work hard, compete for playing time and respect their coach. Sorry that seems to bother you so much.
