I didn't start the thread and my daughter doesn't play for either club. But, we might consider a change and are wary of both clubs because of what is written here. Why not move forward and leave it behind so that both clubs have a chance to be the best they can be? Your hurting you child by airing your dirty laundry on a soccer forum. Would you do it if you had to post your name for everyone to see?
Likely both clubs have some responsibility in what went down. Maybe one more so than the other, but it's done. Move on.
We tried to 'move on", but Phil and his pet Gypsy Boy decided to pursue us with lawyers, threats and bogus sanctions. Now that a year has passed and people in central Florida are wondering why The Purple Lion is still a dysfunctional Club, they want to say 'stop the hate' and 'let's put this behind us'.
Try to fool who? They are about making money. Very evident. The people who claim to just want to help your kids and then take a large pay check are the ones to be wary of. Everyone has the right to make a dollar but be honest about it. OC was trying to help "some" under privileged kids. They will also fund their fully loaded able to pay DA teAms next year. Ofcourse they are trying to make a profit but once again at least you know it.
Please list all the 501c3 Youth soccer clubs in central Florida that are in it 'for profit".

Karma's a b--ch.
You could have avoided it all with just going to oviedo but you choose to keep up the issues because it keeps you the under dog. That is what I have gotten from all these post. It could have easily been solved but it is about perceived territory. Not about what is best for the kids.
They don't profit as a club but profit in the pocket of their "employees".
Since when is it wrong for 501c3's to pay employees? I must have missed that. Does that mean everyone involved with any non-profit should work for free? Crap, I have some hospitals to call!
You do realize that Shane Kelly was submitted as the home field (keep telling up to go to Oviedo, we did!) the 15 mile rule was "violated" because GB (at the meeting) pointed out that the new lower fields were within 15 miles by about 5 yards. Tell me again how it's all about FKK out to get OC?

Keep telling yourself it was only OC that had issue with your field choice. If I read current websites correctly, cw is your home fields.

Why didn't OC just stay at Seminole? They clearly don't have enough teams to justify CW.
The fact that any one thinks Phil is influenced by anyone shows lack of your knowledge of Orlando city. Phil does his thing and does it well. Like it or not, he has done what no one with all their egos could ever do and that is bring soccer to Orlando on a Mls level. Well, OC has DA and ecnl which go over the head of pdp. DA isn't suppose to participate in those programs and all the kids besides them in the club can do odp so pdp which is optional and relative to your level. The DA points directly to the national team and that is clear on their website. Odp and pdp just offer their selected players and hope that the national team picks them. Do a little bit of homework and you will find what I did. All this pompous better than you stuff is just getting ridiculous. Pick what is best for your kid and do it with a smile on face and let everyone else worry about themselves.
Most people don't understand the layout and are easily snowed by people who brag about themselves.
You argue like a liberal.
I give you facts and you counter with emotion.
It has nothing to do with individual players.
I gave you the rules and you counter with personal attacks.
I show you the documentation on denying FKK affiliation and you accuse someone's daughter of being a poor player who sits on the bench.
Keep talking FKK. You are doing such a great job promoting your club.
She is an above average player at best and her dad is a vindictive POS. I think those are facts. He was at the hearing with the lawyer and Shaw. More facts.
During high school game my kid enjoyed face planting her. More facts.
Here is what losing really is FKK

Central Florida Soccer Alliance – Joe Avallone and Tim Geltz spoke about the need
for soccer in the East Orange County area, growth plan, and local sponsorships. Craig
Pole and Greg Brick highlighted various issues including poaching charges,
deceptive practices and 15 mile rule. Chris Mills supported all OCYS arguments.
CFSA field location falls within 15 miles of Orlando City, not FC America. Denied
based on 15 mile rule.
So those are the facts. FKK violated the 15-mile rule, was denied membership in FYSA and did a deal with Maitland to get their teams in State Cup. Why? For one reason and one reason only. HM and the BOD feel that Winter Park and Oviedo is their turf and were going to locate their club inside OC's 15-mile radius regardless of rules. The sheer arrogance of that move cost them plenty. 5 miles dad. All HM had to do was move 5 miles. You know the parents, including you, would have not had a problem driving the extra distance to have a legitimate club in good standing with FYSA. I can tell you in fact that the FYSA board have had enough of the "Hue Rules" in CFL and chances that club will ever get affiliation this August is less than zero. So he finds a loophole and gets around the 15-mile rule. Stroke of genius right? Tell that to the kids who did not have a league to play in this year. Tell that to the parents who have been shuttling their kids to practice since July with only a handful of tournaments the entire year.
I can also tell you that US Club Soccer has taken note as well and the "Father of ECNL" is not in good standing with that league. That is why they dished him the FPL PDP. There will be more shenanigans in that camp and he will be run out of US Club Soccer as well.
HM just suffers from "smartest guy in the room" syndrome. He thinks he is above it all and regulations be damned. Regulations are drawn by committee and voted on by the board. So he is not just skirting a rule or two, he is giving FYSA and all those people who devote time to organizing youth soccer the middle finger. He is doing to do it his way and is burning bridges along the way. Oh well, I guess some would rather go out in a blaze of glory than play by the rules.
Are we talking about HM or SB? Sounds like the same person LOL!

Exactly, you've convinced me. I finally understand. Everyone is getting rich off youth soccer in Orlando. All the Presidents and ED's belong to the same country clubs and rub shoulders with the rich and famous, like Mr. Goodell. Clueless really.
